I will be rooting against the Patriots but from all I have seen on this kid, he seems like a good dude all and all. I read that he left the B=Lo area after his junior year in high school...Is his family still in the area? Are they good people? Does he still have a connection to Buffalo Just curious. GO BILLS, Go Giants...Go Gronk

Also, does anyone know if Moose or Jaws ever come back or do anything for the area. Thanks

If Jimmy Griffin himself played for the Pats I'd be rooting for a knee injury and an 0-16 season. I get nothing out of Buffalo natives beating our brains in.

I thought at Media Day someone would bring up that he had sex with Pornstar Bibi Jones & post pics of him & her together on Twitter, the Patriots are such holism & humble gentlemen, they are upstanding citizens who are hero's even God-like

I doubt he sees much action after his first catch (assuming he gets on the field), when a Giants defender twists his ankle around.

I never hear much about Moose, but I never liked him because he was a Dolphins fan growing up anyway.......Jaws just got inducted into the new Lackawanna HS HOF, but it was during football season, so he had a video speech and I think his mother picked up the award (Mike Mamula was there for his induction). I hear him every Friday on Tony Kornheiser picking games and Tony will say "the team of your youth" when having him pick a Bills game. And, Jaws will say things like he's still a Bills fan, etc.

Gronkowski did go to Pittsburgh for his senior year. His family owns G&G Fitness. I'm pretty sure they are still in the area, because the three brothers did a bunch of local things last summer. Here's the brothers website:

Can't speak for where they are now or how they are now, but I grew up down the street from them and they were all great kids. I'm not sure if they live in that house anymore or not but they did until at least the mid 2000s. The oldest son, Gordy, was our paperboy for years and the younger brothers would always help out. I won't root for the Pats, but I'll root for him.

He's done a lot for Lew-Port over the years. When I was younger he made a donation to the district to upgrade/get computers in every classroom. That was back when that was a big deal, probably around 1996 or so. Just had his jersey retired maybe 2 years ago and made the trip back for the ceremony. Great guy, very friendly when he comes home to visit his family and doesn't act bigger than anyone because of who he is or any of that. I know he's done a lot of charitable work in the Dallas area too, probably more so than here, but you know that's what happens when you get that adopted hometown

I think his parents are still in the area, but I could be wrong. There's 5 brothers total; 1 plays semi-pro baseball, 3 play in the NFL, and the youngest one is at Kansas State for baseball. As someone previously stated, his father owns G+G fitness.

father and mother split, mother still lives in B-Lo, (with the youngest brother for a while), dad lives in Pittsburgh now as he is opening more GandG Fitness franchises, youngest brother now is playing Football AND Baseball at Kansas State...but all are often back in the buffalo area, and The Gronk himself (Rob) is a frequent visitor of local sports bar Amherst Ale House (home of the best sabres deals in town, great food and awesome beer selection)

That's all well and good, but he rooted for the Dolphins growing up in the Buffalo area!

i never liked him for that very reason(and the fact he was good and wished he played for the bills). but really, how can you be from WNY and be a miami fan? i am sure there are good reasons, but i personally dont get it..

This. He's a traitor to WNY and now an enemy. Wouldnt even stick up for Buffalo amidst the Brady/Hotel controversy.
