DocLawless Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 I was just reviewing the draft class and started thinking that maybe it would be a good idea to trade a pick or trade down in this years draft for a number 1 pick in next years draft for a better shot at landing Matt Barkley. I like Fitz a lot but if he doesn't have an all pro playoff run type season next year it's time to draft our franchise qb. Plus I believe Barkley will be one of the few elite qb's IMO. Anyone else want Barkley or think he will be a stud?
reddogblitz Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 No, I wouldn't like it. I want to win next year, not go without a number one this year in hopes we do get Barkley next year. I like Barkley, but I don't want to put us back one bit of going for the playoffs in 2012.

Maybe he will have a better year next and look all pro but now its just too far in the future to be trading this years picks for next year. I suppose trading back and getting an extra pick next year would be nice but who we spend it on is any ones guess.
jjmac Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Give up a chance to draft a pass rusher/edge setter at #10? No thanks.
