I think we should get

Round 1-Melvin Ingram OLB- very physical and athletic Highlights

Round 2-Jared Crick DE- I think he will be one of the steals of the draft.

I like the motor that he plays with and he is very good with fighting off blocks with his hands

Front 7 looks very good with these two in the mix

Didn't see crick much because he tore his peck but had a good junior year would be a nice addition not sure what position he'd be for us since they "wont say" what D we will run.

Ingram is pretty good too but wasn't overwhelmed with his pass rush and am not sure how he would transition to OLB.

While I'm not that big of a Ingram fan (he's a good player, I just think we can do better at #10 overall), I've had Crick pegged as our second rounder for awhile. That man was born to play football, crazy intensity...the type of guy who can fire up any defense when you plug him in. If it weren't for that injury, he'd be a top 10 lock.

Ingram is a phenomenal athlete with limited experience. I think, however, that he's a better fit as a 4-3 end than at any other position. In some ways, he reminds me of Jason Pierre-Paul, since he's such a pure athlete and hasn't played as much as others at the position. That said, JPP was built a little better for the end position than Ingram.

I've always fancied Crick as more of a 3-4 end with some inside pass rush potential, but I'm not a huge proponent of playing him as a pure DE.

Crick is a flop...he lived off Suh as a sophomore and when Suh left Cricks play fell off dramatically. Find me a quality opponent Nebraska played and you won't find Crick. He's Kelsay only not as "good" - stay away

Would everyone please STOP GUSHING over this Ingram kid. He's got a lot of talent, and he's a great athlete, but HELLO, this exactly the type of kid we've drafted early in the past, and either misused, or got little production from.

I look at him, and I don't see a consistent, elite pass-rusher. I see a kid that, if used situationally, could have a big impact on games. By situationally, I mean certain defensive packages, and of course special teams. Hell, He might even make a decent tight end! Who knows? -Either way, he's NOT first round material. Not for us.

i don't know, seems like this kid has a good blend of talent, desire and work ethic. if he's got a good head on his shoulders, seems like we could do a lot worse.

Limited.....Huh. More playing time and production than say Upshaw and a few other 1 year wonders.

Some team with a good defense will take Ingram late in round 1 and he will be an excellent LB for them. I think he could play OLB in a 4-3 as well as a 3-4.

I miss having a good team and being able to pick up players like that later in round 1. The Bills however, lack front-line talent and Ingram is probably not going to be your elite pass rusher. I don't think Ingram would be a bad pick, but you hope to come away with a QB/RDE/OT with that high of a pick......especially when you have NONE of those players. Great players at key positions make the rest of the team look better.

Ingram looks like he'd make a fine LDE...

He's had a few very athletic interceptions, that 68 yard TD on a fake punt, and a fumble recovery touchdown in which he plucked the ball of the turf with one hand while running full speed.

I have zero doubt that he could easily play OLB.

Strongly disagree with your view on Ingram.

Who else that we drafted would you compare him to BTW?

Mike mayock on The first padded practice.....

"I thought the most impressive group was the South’s defensive line. Melvin Ingram, Courtney Upshaw and Quinton Coples, to me, are all first-round picks, and they’ve all played like first-round picks. I’m particularly interested in Ingram, because he’s got an atypical body type at 6-foot-2 and 276 pounds. You’ve got to figure out how to use him, but he’s played really well so far. Bottom line: These three guys represent the best position group heading into Saturday’s game."

I'll admit to having a homerish view here, but IMO Ingram should be the pick, love his hustle and playmaking ability

I remember alot of fans being high on Erik Flowers way back when. I wasn't on this board at the time, but alot of people were like whoo-hoo! Now,I'm not comparing Flowers to Ingram, I just think we should really BE SPECIFIC about how the individual can be used, as opposed to just saying "Draft that guy, he's talented!"

I like a lot of things about Ingram, but I HATE him at #10.

Correction; after watching senior bowl practice Ingram was embarrassing the tackles all day on pass rush drills so I'd be a lot happier with him now.

Also Jay Howard DT from Florida was rushing the passer from DT and DE and was a beast and would be a perfect End for us no matter the system.

Bull $#!T Crick had just as good production his junior year as his sophomore when Suh was there and his senior year he was out early.

"6’6 285 pounds.

Stats

2009:

73 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, 14 QB hurries

2010:

70 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, 7 QB hurries

2011: (Season on going)

Crick was knocked a lot for his great 2009 season because people questioned whether or not he could produce without Suh next to him on the line. He came back in 2010 and had an equally productive year. There is no questioning Crick’s production. It’s top rate."

Not me I thought Flowers was terrible and was pissed that we took him. Ingram looked very impressive today against the top players for this years draft.

ingram at 10 would bum me out. id much rather have coples or upshaw at the moment. a lot of time between now and draft day. im kinda worried that at 6-2 hes a little short.
