dayman Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 (edited) Simple both want to be OVERPAID! What the first guy is saying is if you LET THEM GET TO THIS POINT they'll always want to be overpaid. If you dangle en extension in their face when they are just starting to look good before they really prove it then they are likely to take the security and you both win. The only reason not to do it is if you fear you will give money to a guys who ends up bombing...and it's a reasonable fear looking at Kelsay and Fitz contract but the point stands. IF THE IDEA IS TO BUILD FROM THE DRAFT then you keep your guys and you are going to keep them all along so why screw yourself! Edited January 23, 2012 by dayman
