So the Bills assistant o-line coach is now an expert on teaching the TE position? Is this typical in the NFL. Surely, like a lot of professions you're only really good at 1 thing... I understand the blocking phase ok, but the sublime route running, finding a hole, sitting down, beating the inside press, making a double more, and so forth are now his speciality?

TE's are an interesting group. More often than not during practice they will either be with the O Line or with the Receivers. If the TE coach is more of an expert in blocking techniques I'm sure he will lean on the WR coach for some help in route running.
