Chef Jim Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 The test starts at 8pm. I'll let you know how I do. PTR Jeopardy is so much easier than it used to be. The dumbing down continues.
PromoTheRobot Posted January 18, 2012 Author Posted January 18, 2012 Jeopardy is so much easier than it used to be. The dumbing down continues. Not the contestant test, let me tell you. Just finished. I'm guessing I got 35 of 50. (They don't tell you how you did.) Probably not strong enough to get invited for an interview. Had a couple of brain farts on answers I knew, but they asked some doosies. PTR
PromoTheRobot Posted January 18, 2012 Author Posted January 18, 2012 Jeopardy test info. Too late to take it this year. But you can sign up to get a reminder e-mail when they start registering for 2013. I did this in 2011 as well and I did much better today. PTR

PTR Just took it too PTR...I got 42 out of 50 correct, 4 toss ups, 4 definitely incorrect. Kicking myself over the Neptune one. I got an audition for Teen Jeopardy several years back but didn't get on the show. Good luck to ya! I wish I knew what the barrier is for getting an audition...I wonder if it's a pre-determined score or a specific percentile.

PTR Funny thing is, my 10 year old self would've nailed that one without a second thought. I incessantly read solar system books as a kid. But for some reason I said Saturn. Like you said, brain farts. Edited January 18, 2012 by SageAgainstTheMachine

He claims a lot of it is the subjective views of the producers as to who makes it on.

SageAgainstTheMachine Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Clearly personality and ratings mean a lot. Game shows are the original reality tv. I tend to think Jeopardy is a little more equal opportunity, though. You still see quite a few 40 year old virgin types.

The Avenger Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Please tell me you at least knew the correct answer was NOT "donkey punch"...... This Guy Didn't

buckeyemike Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 I took the online test too. I don't think I did very well. I made it to the second round of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire tryouts in Cleveland about 10 years ago, but I didn't get a call back.
