IDBillzFan Posted January 13, 2012 Share Posted January 13, 2012 This has nothing to do with raising the debt ceiling and everything to do with a president who needs a fight to get through the election so no one pays attention to how useless he's perceived by most of the country. He knows Congress won't just give him them money without concessions to cut spending, and he'll start talking again about people not getting their social security checks, and cutting the Holy Trifecta of liberal victims: teachers, police and firefighters. Frankly, as a campaigning tool, I think he's making a mistake. He may have gained a bit of support during the last increase battle, but people won't afford him the same ear this time. He will come across to the rest of the country as he comes across to most of us: a guy who simply has no mental capacity to get anything done without creating all kinds of chaos, anger and frustration. If I remember correctly it was a 2.1 trillion deal 400b, 500b, and now this 1.2 trillion. The House made him have to come back and actually ask for it again and again.
