The AntiFin Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Good points, but doesn't "Oakland Raiders" sound a little more natural than "Los Angeles Raiders?" Perhaps -- But "L.A. Raiders" has a nice ring to it. At least it won't be "The Los Angeles Raiders of Anaheim Formerly of Oakland"
mob16151 Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 That's the funny thing about winning a Super Bowl -I suppose.. All team names sound great going forward. LA Bills. Nope I disagree. They don't all sound great to me.
apuszczalowski Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 The ciy of Buffalo should pray they move to LA. The NFL would love to get Oakland back to LA. Would that be enough? Probably not. Moving out of Buffalo and Jacksonville would be next on the list of to do items. That being said I just can't see Toronto as a permanent destination. The tax situation makes competing in free agency very difficult. The Bills best hope is that the NFL never says yes to Vegas and Oklahoma City becomes a basketball and college football town. Guess thats why they don't have any pro sports teams in Canada If the Bills move, which is probably the most likely situation in the next decade, it will be a move to Toronto. The NFL's rationalisation to allowing it is that they are expanding into Canada, getting into Canadas largest market, and they are still a short drive away from Buffalo so current fans can still watch/support the team
