Astrojanitor Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 But Chan protected! Blame it on Carson Palmer. If that debacle worked out he'd be called a genius.
CardinalScotts Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 But Chan protected! Hue sucks Chan does not.
GaryPinC Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 From the article: 7 coaches in 10 years. Just when you think we've got it bad.....
NoSaint Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Blame it on Carson Palmer. If that debacle worked out he'd be called a genius. I'm sure that arbitrarily declaring that he was going to run the entire organization didn't help his cause
mattsox Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Wow! Oakland, really???? Didn't see that comin...
Mango Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 he took some if the (at the time) credit for that awful trade for carson palmer. he should be fired after that. he mortgaged their future and it failed.
NoSaint Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 From the article: 7 coaches in 10 years. Just when you think we've got it bad..... Paying a half dozen guys as head coach at any given time when you fire them like that! You know, unless you have a press conference to announce your not paying them, complete with overhead projector.

KOKBILLS Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Wow! Business as usual in Oakland...New GM or not...
Buffalo Barbarian Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Just when you think the Raiders might change.
Omar Little Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Just because the now-departed Al Davis fired a lot of coaches in the recent past, that shouldn't preclude Reggie McKenzie from building the organization the way he wants. If Jackson isn't McKenzie's guy, then there's no reason for him to stay aboard as the head coach. BTW, Jackson has no one to blame but himself after that horrific Palmer trade.
D521646 Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 That "aplmer" trade might end up being the best thing they did. yes tis true that it didn't work out this year, but let's face it, there was a lot of rust on ole Palmer, but he still has what it takes to be a winner in ths league, IMO. Next year will be a different story for Oakland. I'd take Hue as our OC any day.. Tim-

His numbers this past season were basically identical to the ones he has put up over the last half decade, so you can't blame rust. He's an average QB.
EasternOHBillsFan Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 (edited) The Raiders finally have a real GM, and soon will have a real coach and will no longer be a laughing stock. Geno Smith's Arm Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 The Raiders finally have a real GM, and soon will have a real coach and will no longer be a laughing stock. You are now witnessing, like Irsay to Irsay, a Davis to Davis change in ownership philosophy that will lead to success in Oakland. Meanwhile, we are still waiting... Exactly. I have heard all these "business as usual" comments about the Raiders. Things like "everyone thought it would change now that Al Davis is gone". Hiring Hugh Jackson was an Al Davis decision!. NOW is the beginning of the new way. Just when you think the Raiders might change. They just did! they got rid of Al Davis's last coaching hire.

WVUFootball29 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Wouldn't mind Hue coming in to fill an offensive coach position here in Bflo. Has NFL experience as an OC, RB, QB, WR coach and the offenses he's worked on have had success. We've got at least 2 offensive openings and I see no reason not to bring him in for an interview.
ganesh Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 he took some if the (at the time) credit for that awful trade for carson palmer. he should be fired after that. he mortgaged their future and it failed. Carson Palmer was not the issue. CP will be ok when he gets an Off season under his belt. In fact he performed much better than Fitz in the same number of games. The problem was that the Raiders were just a very ill-disciplined bunch...They had the highest number of penalties...that explains the lack of focus starting from the HC...And no one could control the temper of Seymour.
