Losman-McGahee-Evans Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 There is no way PIT plays Big Ben with nothing to play for now that he's injured. No way. All that now has to happen is DEN losing to IND or NYJ losing their last two vs NE and STL. So here's to praying that we win out!!
gantrules Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 Way to jinx it, mate. 178731 No doubt. I'm not excited or counting on anything until we get in. Let's not forget that Indy may not have anything to play for either against Denver.
BillsSouth Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 It´s TOO early for that. Let´s at least wait a week to start predicting what will happen next Sunday...
Grant Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 Exactly. We still need help AND we need to win this week and next week. We're not in 'till we're in.
Losman-McGahee-Evans Posted December 26, 2004 Author Posted December 26, 2004 Way to jinx it, mate. 178731 I'm not superstitious, I'm confident in our team. We're in.
Grant Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 I'm not saying it as a superstitous thing, I'm saying it as a personal thing. We're not in until we're in - you're only going to disappoint yourself if you celebrate this early.

Grant Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 I'm glad you're confident in something you have no control over. I was just offering you a fair warning.
drunkenirishmann Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 Help? Indy beating Denver? We're in if we win and I am confident we will. Problem is, Indy has no reason to win (besides momentum I guess) next week. They will probably rest most of their starters by the 2nd half of the game.

Grant Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 The thing to hope for is that Plummer self destructs. Which isn't that improbable, really.
ExiledInIllinois Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 We don't have to win out now... JUST THE JETS HAVE TO LOSE OUT (and Balt, JAX too). It is easier to try and lose than it is to win...

It is easier to try and lose than it is to win... I like the thought but the problem is, if that happens then the Jets will still have 1 more win than we do
gantrules Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 Help? Indy beating Denver? We're in if we win and I am confident we will. 178798 Losman, they have nothing to play for if NE wins. If NE loses and loses next week Indy could get homefield with a win next week. But, NE is up. So, I doubt they are going to have anything to play for. Funny, how things come around. Denver sat their starters in the final game of the season last year.

If I was Dungy and had a high power offense... I would want to keep it clicking... Save nothing. Just my opinion.
gantrules Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 If I was Dungy and had a high power offense... I would want to keep it clicking... Save nothing. 178830 I hope so....but I wouldn't risk it if I were Dungy.

gantrules Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 I had to look it up to see who his back up was.... Who the ehll is Jim Sorgi? http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=6952

They will keep their starters in until the pull away from Denver. In other words, we are in the playoffs because we will win and they will lose.
