Captain Hindsight
would he tell mike mccarthy to start matt flynn in the playoffs? No, Flutie wasn't having an MVP season... He was actually playing just ok at best.

birdog1960
would he tell mike mccarthy to start matt flynn in the playoffs? no, if he were, then the packers wouldn't have been in the playoffs this year or any other in the last decade.
jad1
no, if he were, then the packers wouldn't have been in the playoffs this year or any other in the last decade. And they would be playing half their home games in Milwaukee. Edited January 1, 2012 by jad1

RTW2012
did it warrant starting johnson? The Bills were winning that year in spite of Flutie, and would have won with Johnson if they covered the kick return.
Sisyphean Bills
And they would be playing half their home games in Milwaukee. And Boomer would say, "No one circles the Can like the Packers!"

"in spite of flutie" ? really.. but i do agree with you obviously on the kick coverage or lack of the correct call of an illegal forward pass. Lets give Flutie some credit. Until the defensive minds figured him out, he was quite exciting. Remember the Jacksonville game at home? Rob Johnson had a golden arm but no football smarts. An intengible that couldn't be taught.

Yes. Extremely strong defense. By the end of the season Flutie's arm was deader 'n Fitzy's.
Dr. Trooth
Really, really bad attempt at even attempting to make an analogy that Rodgers/Fynn is remotely close to Flutie Johnson. For one, the Pack is 15-1 For two, the Pack never gave up a #1 for Flynn For Three, Rodgers wears a huge piece of metal on one of his fingers that means something For four, you really need to count to 500,00 before you post something. Dude, we all make mistakes and I hope you have a great 2012, but boy, that post was stupid.
