When we are talking about football you have to look at the sizes of these rosters, yes the NFL has to cut down rosters to 53, but they have an opportunity to sign 10 more players which means 320 players will get a chance to showcase their talents. So when you look at the rosters this year alone, 55 small players made it to the roster and stuck. That number is going to increase. Because small schoolers will finally get a chance to prove their worth against good talent.

I know you guys don't like me talking about my small schoolers but here is a prospect that is going to make it on a roster and will have a great chance to do so.

His name is Jared Green, WR of Southern University, I am sure you all know his father, who I interviewed as well for the article. Darrell Green is his father the 20 year NFL veteran CB who is now inducted in the HOF. You all proabably remember his son, because he is the one that did the speech. Well here it is, let me know what you guys think?

NIce write-up, Damond.

I have a few thoughts on your piece.

I'm glad that camp rosters were expanded. While I know some of these people are just bodies for the sake of bodies, I think it's inevitable that a few players are gonna capitalize on an opportunity that they wouldn't have gotten in years previous.

I'm thinking with Jared's pedigree that he'll not be as far off the radar as other players in similar situations (small schools, etc).

I'm very excited to see what Jared runs in the 40. Apparently he's pretty fast and his Dad was crazy fast… and Jared's about 3-4 inches taller than his Dad.

From Jared's listed height/weight, he seems light but you say he has a good frame. But you compare him to Torrey Smith who appears pretty thick for a wide receiver to me.

Did the comparison not include body type?

What range of rounds do you expect Green to go in? The Bills could definitely use some field-stretching receivers.

Jared is not as thick as Torrey Smith but height and speed wise he is. Jared runs the forty in the 4.2 to 4.3 range, and is super fast. I didn't put that in the report because he has not been officially timed on his forty. He ran a 4.41 at the HBCU combine who was timing him and they were HBCU scouts not NFL scouts. There were some NFL scouts at the combine that had him running the forty in 4.29. That is super fast for a WR, he will get a chance, as of right now he will be a 7th rounder to a Priority Free Agent, we shall see what type of exposure he can get though. Thank you very much for the read. If you have any draft questions feel free to hit me up

God Bless

Damond
