dwight in philly Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 (edited) as one who keeps abreast of the NFL via PFT, ESPN, like most on here, it seems like people in cincy are always complaining about owner mike brown and how cheap he and the organization are. cincy has made the playoffs this past decade , bottomed out, and are now on the cusp of being good again. it seems to me that they obviously draft better, but why is the bills organization so inept in comparison? all facets of the bills organization seems completely a mess. is it because mike brown is younger than wilson?, just cant figure it out. Clown Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 (edited) This is a repeat thread posted about one year ago about how amazing the Kansas City Chiefs being built from the ground up and dedicated to winning. I agree with one thing though that remains a constant, if you run an organization without the intent to be a championship team, but rather just to keep it entertaining enough to be profitable, then this is what you get. We would have won a few more games this year with him. They also drafted AJ Green. We got Marcell, while good, not a "playmaker" yet, and Aaron Williams in the Second, a PICK ahead of Dalton. The year before, we picked freaking Troup right ahead of Gronkowski (sp). Imagine if we had Gronkowski, AJ Green (or Julio Jones) and Andy Dalton, along with Spiller, Jackson, Wood, Levitre. The D would still stink, but it stinks now. At least we would be scoring a ton of points, and could draft D this year. Now we stink on both sides of the ball.

Everyteam passed on him once ,some twice. There were major medical concerns with him. Besides it is like saying we should have draft joe montana early in round 3 . Steals happen

Troup, a NT, who was projected to go in the 3rd round, had/has chronic back problems. That is a killer for a NT. You can't play the medical card on this pick when we drafted a player with worse medical concerns. And we had Kyle Williams, so why reach on a NT with medical concerns, when you could "reach" (according to you, I don't think it was a reach) for a position of need at TE.

Except for that not being true. Troup had no back injury/issues during his college career or leading up to the draft. Troup's issues have all been after becoming a pro. Unfortunately they can't see into the future. Search for a poor medical evaluation on Troup leading up to the draft, it doesn't exist. Wouldn't he have missed a game at some point during his college career? Andy Dalton has AJ Green and knows how to throw a jump ball to a great WR. He would be dreadful with our offense. You really think he would be good with Hagan, Martin and Nelson as his WRs? Yeah, keep believing that.
