.....since that great KC-Miami game (except for the outcome) in '71, is it? The News article seemed to imply it. That there was so much reaction to that game being scheduled, that the NFL said never again, but now times have changed, and here are the Chiefs again on Christmas, etc.

 

I was 9 years old then and loved the Chiefs and loved having football on and didn't understand the fuss. Now, I'm 42 and still love having football on, and maybe I understand the fuss better, but I want it on!

 

I believe the Lions had a game on Christmas the year that Barry retired, because the NFL had been hoping he'd be lined up for Payton's record by that game. Was that the first time they scheduled games since '71? Did they ever give a reason why they've changed their minds?
