Buffalo Beeeews Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 In the midst of yet another dismal season, I'm trying to detract myself from the abyssmal Bills season and have some fun with a topic that alot of Bills fans have fun with. COMMENTATORS. Heres my TOP 5 and my five WORST. How about yours?... TOP 5 (Best) ____________ 1. Joe Buck 2. Al Michaels 3. Gregg Gumble 4. Kevin Harlan 5. Ian Eagle TOP 5 (Worst) _____________ 1. Dan Dierdorf 2. Jim Nantz 3. Ron Jaworski 4. Randy Cross 5. Mike Torico
section122 Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Funny I would rank joe buck in my bottom five his baseball broadcasts are painful as he completely lacks objectivity. Add Troy aikman to that list of my bottom five as well. I like tirico I thinks he steers conversation without trying to be the color man and does well with play by play.
GOBILLS78 Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 If we're talking play-by-play and color, all-sports, Sean McDonough, Al Michaels, Tim Ryan and Brad Nessler are all great picks.
RkFast Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Im really happy Marv Albert is calling football again.
marauderswr80 Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 (edited) Greg gumble........that's hilarious! I gave mike tirico a chest bump at our last Monday night game.... Edited December 12, 2011 by marauderswr80
ny33 Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Do you really think Joe Buck is the best commentator, or is this post sarcastic? He is an arrogant fool. I can't stand him.
billsfan714 Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Joe Buck? Really? The guy who lost his mind over Randy Moss's pretend mooning?
dwight in philly Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Joe Buck? Really? The guy who lost his mind over Randy Moss's pretend mooning? i think joe buck is good. i feel he gets a bad rap, for whatever reason.
Gray Beard Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 I am sure the I am in the minority, but I can't stand Jaws and Gruden on Monday Night Football. Too smug and arrogant, and they jump on the bandwagon of whoever just made the latest play. Gruden's one-on-one discussions with quarterbacks are awful. I can't help but think the quarterback is sitting there counting the minutes until the phony nonsense is over so they can get away. I am probably in the minority on this, but it all just seems too fake and Gruden's all-knowing, insider demeanor is nauseating.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Best: Al Michaels Worst: Phil Simms
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Collinsworth can be annoying but he points out details of the game and playcalling like no other commentator. Surprised no one mentions solomon "wilcotts" who mispronounces everything...
