HarkinBanks Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 12 out of 32 teams make the playoffs each year. This will be the 12th season in a row the Bills don't make the playoffs. Wow.
GOBILLS78 Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 A kind of ineptitude that's almost difficult to achieve. The franchise is amazing in some ways.

DDD Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Some mathmatician should figure out the probablity of not making the playoffs for 12 consecutive years when nearly 1/3 make it in every year. It has to be a shocking number for the chances of not making the playoffs over that time period.

It's in My Blood Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 actually, i posted that in a previous thread... its overly simplistic, but the odds are 0.355%...that's around one third of 1% go bills I just threw up in my mouth. How unbelievably horrible.
RkFast Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Dont worry...once we get rid of Joe Pendry Kevin Gilbride Tom Breshnahan Ronnie Jones George Edwards everything will be just fine and the Bills will be great again
The Wei 44 Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 My math may be wrong, but I am getting 0.7% - Basically, (2/3)^12 which is the odds of not making the playoffs (assumed to be roughly 2/3) 12 times in a row.
TH3 Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 That is assuming every team has an equal chance every year - which is not the case.
The Wei 44 Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 That is assuming every team has an equal chance every year - which is not the case. Agreed - This is a very crude estimate at best.
BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Maybe if we hired a GM, head coach and def coordinator with a history of success in the NFL we would be in the playoffs regularly. Really, a first time GM at over 70 yrs of age and we expect him to succeed? A def coordinator that was never one before and we expect to succeed? We are too f'n cheap with these guys.
