BuffaloBillsForever Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 (edited) Not talking about this offseason because I don't think any changes will be made besides maybe some positional coaches. Now if we don't make the playoffs next year, who would Two Bills Drive want to run the show as GM? That would probably means another HC, but HC candidates can be for another thread. This is dedicated to GM. Are there any up and coming young guys? What about the vet names? Edited December 12, 2011 by BuffaloBillsForever
uncle flap Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 wasn't whaley supposed to be a young up-and-coming GM? bet he regrets his decision to come to buffalo career suicide
Cash Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 The last GM that Ralph didn't personally know when he was hired was Donahoe. That suggests that Whaley would be the choice. Of course, it's maybe 50/50 that Ralph is the one doing the hiring by the spring of 2013.
PromoTheRobot Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Until the team changes ownership just keep Nix here. What's the point of starting over every two years when Ralph still owns the team? PTR
DDD Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Until the team changes ownership just keep Nix here. What's the point of starting over every two years when Ralph still owns the team? PTR Because Nix hasn't a clue how to be a GM and the longer he's around the worse the organization will become.
PromoTheRobot Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Because Nix hasn't a clue how to be a GM and the longer he's around the worse the organization will become. Bring in new guy...fire him a year or two later...bring in new guy...fire him a year or two later... PTR
Sisyphean Bills Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Bring in new guy...fire him a year or two later...bring in new guy...fire him a year or two later... PTR That's what you do on the treadmill to oblivion.
RyanC882 Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Bring in new guy...fire him a year or two later...bring in new guy...fire him a year or two later... PTR And which guy that they got rid of do you suggest would have put together a winning team exactly???
John Cocktosten Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Until the team changes ownership just keep Nix here. What's the point of starting over every two years when Ralph still owns the team? PTR Then Find a new team. PTR
DDD Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Bring in new guy...fire him a year or two later...bring in new guy...fire him a year or two later... PTR Why retain someone who is incompetent? It will set the franchise back even further.
PromoTheRobot Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Then Find a new team. PTR Impersonating me now?
John Cocktosten Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Impersonating me now? Just trying to add some balance to your recent posts.
aristocrat Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 You give him another off season to bring in some talent and change up this coaching staff.
John Cocktosten Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 You give him another off season to bring in some talent and change up this coaching staff. But no running backs!

BillsVet Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 The only person Ralph hasn't tried for GM that he trusts is himself. Why not follow the Jerrah Jones/MIke Brown/Al Davis model of the owner managing personnel?
Fan in San Diego Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 No sense changing GM's until a new owner takes over.
LancasterSteve Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Until the team changes ownership just keep Nix here. What's the point of starting over every two years when Ralph still owns the team? PTR Wouldn't surprise me if Buddy Nix stepped down after next years draft. Talked to Buddy in the club last month and could tell the stress on his face. He's aged since I had the chance two years ago to welcome him back at a December Booster meeting.
