Dragonborn10 Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Remember this kids name. He has first round talent and undrafted free agent baggage. He is a top cover guy with great return skills. The Bills have a history of drafting well from the state of Oregon (Byrd and Levitre). He would be a great middle round steal to team with Williams. With McGee gone and Florence likely gone as well they will need to draft at least one CB assuming they don't sign one in FA.

Just curious, are we certain that Florence is most likely gone? Didn't he re-sign this year for like three years or something? Is there any guaranteed money owed next year? If so, there would be no reason not to keep him even if it meant playing at the nickel spot.

RyanC883 Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Gotta take risks on these "character" types sometimes. Sometimes they grow up. Remember these are college kids being treated like Kings on their campus. Some of them can't handle it and feel they are above the law. Hopefully he learned from this experience, and his agent will explain to him how much $$ that dumb move cost him, and he'll straighten up. If he's available late, take him. If he's a problem, cut him. Most late round draft picks are based on upside, here it is just with character instead of talent.
Sisyphean Bills Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 The guy got thrown off the team a few days ago. A real team player. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/7320237/cliff-harris-oregon-ducks-dismissed-violation-team-rules

A real team player. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/7320237/cliff-harris-oregon-ducks-dismissed-violation-team-rules I was willing to dismiss the speeding/weed incident because that seems kinda typical for kids from California. But after reading that article, no thank you.
tombstone56 Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 THE BILLS HAVE STATED they want bigger CBs harris is barely 5-10 ,,doesnt fit the player profile they want or the character!
JOE IN HAMPTON ROADS Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Anybody that can go that fast and not wreck must have some skills...get err done We just went through all that with Lynch. Not worth it.
cantankerous Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 The guy makes 2 horrible plays for every 1 good play. He's not as good as the media/fans around here (Oregon) make him out to be. Add in the fact that he's an absolute retard, and was given multiple chances to shape up make him quite a risk.

Dragonborn10 Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 Character is so freaking overrated - we are not talking Ryan Leaf destructive character. This team needs athletes. He is an All Pac10 CB with elite punt return abilities. Oregon has a history of producing quality DB's.

He by all means has a self-destructive character as evidenced by the past year. Whatever demons he is (not) dealing with have severely effected his play, as well as his standing with the team. Booted from his college team before their bowl game because they were sick of dealing with him? No thank you.
cantankerous Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 and he was just recently cited for Marijuana possession on Nov. 25th!! He's a grade "A" moron!!
