jaycorp51 Posted December 25, 2004 Posted December 25, 2004 Merry Christmas from Connecticut! Have a great one Nick! 177744 Have a very merry Christmas Nick and a great New Years as well!!!!
HopsGuy Posted December 25, 2004 Posted December 25, 2004 Afternoon all. I'm currently downloading the programming for my folks new Tivo. Since I'm a grown up (although I won't admit it), it's really the only toy in the house today. It's raining in Central Florida and it's in the 50s outside. You can see your breath, but in a retirement community, that can be strangely reassuring. Nick, clue us in on Boxing Day. Most of what I know was gleaned from an episode of M*A*S*H. -Hops
Britbillsfan Posted December 25, 2004 Posted December 25, 2004 Happy XMas Nick. Cold and wet in Portland as well, typical British XMas, huh? Hopsguy - ALL you need to know about Boxing Day is that it is another national holiday the day after Christmas. So allows you more boozing time. (And if it falls at the weekend the next weekday is a national holiday instead). Hmm...no sloshed icon.....
nick in* england Posted December 26, 2004 Author Posted December 26, 2004 Nick, clue us in on Boxing Day. Most of what I know was gleaned from an episode of M*A*S*H. -Hops 177820 What he said... it's all about drinking what you didn't eat the day before and eating what you didn't eat. It's the day kids play with the less great toys they got the day before and the better movies are on TV! And there is no work for anyone!! Merry Xmas all - time to finish our game of Cranium and watch the Oak KC Game!
Pete Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 Cranium is a great game. My family will be playing that later on. I am waiting on my brother to show up. He is a chef and had to work today- we still have not opened presents
Turf Toejam Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 Thanks for the clarification on Boxing Day, it sounded to us like a day to celebrate Lennox Lewis (just kidding). I'm all for having another day to drink! Love to have another shout at the pub! Have a great day Nick.
BILLS4LIFE Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 Hope you had a great Xmas,Nick as did everyone else here!
