The Poojer Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 our small group of Yellowbook employees packaged over 13 tons of food that will now go out to people in Philly, South Jersey and surrounding counties....I have said here before and often....if you ever get the chance, help out your local foodbank...donations are always appreciated, but donations require back end work....I always leave the foodbank feeling both very good and very humbled....

BuffaloBill Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Great to hear Poojer ... It's sometimes hard to recall that with so much food in the aisles of the supermarket that people do go hungry. Hope you have great Holidays.
BuffaloBud Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 I assisted with the Raleigh Foodbank when I was out of work for a while. It's even more humbling dropping off food to the various shelters.
The Poojer Posted December 2, 2011 Author Posted December 2, 2011 When Circuit City went under a group of us would spend a shift a week at the Richmond foodbank...it helped us keep things in perspective. I wish I could give more time there.... I assisted with the Raleigh Foodbank when I was out of work for a while. It's even more humbling dropping off food to the various shelters.
BuffaloBud Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Aside from helping others in need was that even though I was out of work I accomplished something positive for the day / week. Your soul needs that after working 8 / 5 for years.
ajzepp Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I'm proud of ya for how involved you've been with Philly since you moved there...kudos, brother Pooj!
