Can anyone provide an update on how he is doing? I understand it was a personal health issue, but I was really hoping to hear if he was doing well. Regardless of whether or not he can play football, I hope he is making progress, and wish him the best.

Not a word yet. Since it's a non-football injury he and the Bills do not have to reveal it.

He was at OBD not too long ago, he didn't say much other than that he is hopeful.

It sounds like it's unlikely he'll come back, if I'm going to read into it.

Word around camp is that he has a problem with his ticker that went undiagnosed until training camp. Outlook not so good.

It reminds me of this person I knew who at the age of 24 was found to have a hole in his heart. He was fairly athletic and apparently, he was risking death every time he played sports.

I also remember when I was in college, a guy on the track team dropped dead suddenly. He had a undiagnosed heart condition.

Scary stuff.

I honestly thought this kid was going to end up being an impact player for us this season. As bummed as I am that we've lost guys like E.Wood, K.Williams, and others, Easley was the most disappointing loss for me.

I wish the kid well.

Hmm... yeah, probably need to assume he is gone. I am not sold on D Jones, so we may have a new number 1 and 2 next year (assuming SJ holds out for top5 $$ and the Bills say "no")

So what's the problem? This whole team has a problem with their tickers. If they had strong hearts, they would have won some of the games that they pissed away this season. At least Easley is being treated for his.

If he has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (what Hank Gathers died from) he will never play again. If he had some type of pericarditis(inflammation of the sac around the heart) he will be back. If he had an arrhytmia (irregular heart beat) he should have been treated and back on the field in a week. My guess is if it is his heart and not career ending we would have heard something. I think he is done.
