Homey D. Clown Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Can anyone provide an update on how he is doing? I understand it was a personal health issue, but I was really hoping to hear if he was doing well. Regardless of whether or not he can play football, I hope he is making progress, and wish him the best.

Dorkington Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 He was at OBD not too long ago, he didn't say much other than that he is hopeful. It sounds like it's unlikely he'll come back, if I'm going to read into it.
Heels20X6 Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Word around camp is that he has a problem with his ticker that went undiagnosed until training camp. Outlook not so good. It reminds me of this person I knew who at the age of 24 was found to have a hole in his heart. He was fairly athletic and apparently, he was risking death every time he played sports. I also remember when I was in college, a guy on the track team dropped dead suddenly. He had a undiagnosed heart condition. Scary stuff.
ajzepp Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 I honestly thought this kid was going to end up being an impact player for us this season. As bummed as I am that we've lost guys like E.Wood, K.Williams, and others, Easley was the most disappointing loss for me. I wish the kid well.
Bufcomments Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Seems we have bad luck on draft picks huh? I hope he comes back but not at the price of his health.
8-8 Forever? Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Not a word yet. Since it's a non-football injury he and the Bills do not have to reveal it. PTR Hmm... yeah, probably need to assume he is gone. I am not sold on D Jones, so we may have a new number 1 and 2 next year (assuming SJ holds out for top5 $$ and the Bills say "no")

I also remember when I was in college, a guy on the track team dropped dead suddenly. He had a undiagnosed heart condition. Scary stuff. So what's the problem? This whole team has a problem with their tickers. If they had strong hearts, they would have won some of the games that they pissed away this season. At least Easley is being treated for his.
Dragonborn10 Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 If he has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (what Hank Gathers died from) he will never play again. If he had some type of pericarditis(inflammation of the sac around the heart) he will be back. If he had an arrhytmia (irregular heart beat) he should have been treated and back on the field in a week. My guess is if it is his heart and not career ending we would have heard something. I think he is done.
bills44 Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Who was the poster that claimed that a good source indicated that Easley injured himself at a wing eating contest?
