Astrobot Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 (edited) Bills are still ranked #5 in overall offense, and the Texans are above us with IR'ed QB. Bills are #2 in Pass Blocking to the Titans. Bills are #7 in run-blocking. Levitre is #3 among LG's in the NFL in overall score, and #2 in run blocking. Urbik's #6 overall, and the #4 RG in pass blocking. Levitre-Urbik are #1 and #2 in the NFL in screen blocking. Bills offense is #1 in least penalties. No Bills WR is in the Top 50 in # of penalties. Stevie Johnson is #13 in receiving. Jackson left the year at #1 rating overall, #2 receiving to ray Rice, and #1 in blocking. Spiller is #1 in the NFL in Yards After Contact Per Attempt. Jackson was #3. Sproles was #2. DBell is still #17 of 74 tackles in blocking. Jets tackles Hunter-Ferguson combined for 14 sacks allowed. If we had a pass rusher, that'd be great. In the Top 20 Guards, only one (Rinehardt) has played 2 positions. Wood is #7 at OC, and only 1 above him is younger. 4 of those above him have birthdays in the early 1980's and 2 were born in the '70's. Not So Hot: -->No Bills WR has a positive downfield blocking score. -->Chandler is the Bills' best TE at #26. -->Fitz has fallen from #4 QB to #15 in overall rating; he's the #33 running QB.(But #5 in completion %). -->Pears is highest OT in pressures allowed with 13. D-Brick and Bulaga also have 13 each. (But Hairston-Bell have 5 total). -->The Bills do not have a 3-4DE in the top 66 in overall rating. NEP doesn't either. NYJ has FIVE in the top 20. -->The Bills do not have a OLB34 in the top 57 in overall rating. NYJ have 3 in the top 25; Maybin is #15. Edited November 26, 2011 by Astrobot
Bills!Win! Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 How in the world do they rate things like run blocking and screen blocking?
BiggieScooby Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 We are playing like ass expect more negative. On defense until we get a Ray Lewis, Bart Scott type guy to pistol whip the team into shape expect to more of the same. On offense where are the playmakers? Do we have one guy who you can toss it high and have him go get it?
Hapless Bills Fan Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Astro, I think the problem with all these nice stats is that they include the first 7 weeks of the season, when we either won, or were competitive in all our games. If you look at the stats for the last 3 games...it's like a different team
Matty Shu Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 On the brightside Fitz is ranked #1 in millions stolen from an orginization
BillsNeedaQBin2012 Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 On the brightside Fitz is ranked #1 in millions stolen from an orginization I think Kevin Kolb took the cake on that one.

Zulu Cthulhu Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 The positive stats that astro graciously posted don't necessarily reflect the current performance of the team (which is bad), but they do still show areas where the team has clearly improved this year (which is good!) Thx for digging them up.

Thx for digging them up. I guess my point is if we've regressed as per last 3 games and we're "not all that" now, have we really improved? No, that's why we shouldn't give Stevie #1 money. We need a guy like Moulds, who was truly able to do that. To be fair to Stevie, he has been battling a groin injury for much of the season. In some of the early games, he was looking like a guy who can go up and fetch it - def. improvement from last year. It is possible he just physically can't make those catches right now.

If we get better over the last few games, then yes, we have improved. If we play the same as the past three weeks, no we haven't improved. But we also need to take into account injuries... when we were relatively healthy we played well... once starters went down, our lack of depth was exposed which can be "fixed" with another solid FA season and draft.
