BringBackFergy Posted November 21, 2011 Share Posted November 21, 2011 Only one thing will let Fitz succeed this coming week and for the rest of the season...2 tight end set, FB, HB power I with Stevie on the wide. Power running game, and a hybrid west coast offense that gives Fitz the option to audible out to Stevie or Chandler when he sees blitz packages. Chandler can handle it (i.e. he can run past the LB for a quick pass over the middle on blitzes)...the only question is, do we even have a second tight end who can come in and take over on the other side. Desperate times call for desperate measures...this 4 WR set (with Ruvell, Namon, etc) can't work anymore because (as everyone has pointed out) they are getting raped at the LOS. Have to mix it up a little, let McIntyre pound some LB's for Freddie (McIntyre wants to kick butt...he's the most emotional player we have I believe), let the tight ends protect, keep Stevie out wide for those occassions where the Jets D cheats on play action...other than that, we are most definitely screwed on offense.
