BuffaloBillsForever Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Buddy Nix - lack of player depth, extending Fitz midseason, drafting and signing gimmicky free agents instead of positional needs like -ol, linebacker etc. Overall mediocre to poor drafts. Really the only player that is starter material is Dareus. We are in a lot of trouble folks. The sad thing is, as bad as our defense has been our offense is just as bad and our head coach does not seem to be able to utilize many of players that we consider to have "potential".
EldaBillsFan Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 A lot of it is injuries...not an excuse...but damn .....

Slack_in_MA Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 All of them are responsible. Strong leadership is needed on many levels. The team has lost its heart.
jr1 Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 The Bills should hire an offensive coordinator next year

billnutinphoenix Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 #1 Fire George Edwards...Let's go the 4-3 with Wannstedt...Our personnel is better suited towards this scheme... #2 We need a #1 WR... #3 We need a pass rusher off the corner #4 We need a top flight, physical CB... Other than this, I still believe it is workable...However, we MUST sign 1 to 2 top free agents and no scrubs...Furthermore, we must have an awesome draft and production from picks 1 through 3 next year...

I don't know how George Edwards is still on this teams coaching staff. It really shows how dumb Gailey is.
BillnutinHouston Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 (edited) Please substantige. What does this mean? Even Google isn't smart enough to figure it out. Edited November 20, 2011 by BillnutinHouston

Yes, yes, yes. Edwards must go. The past two weeks, opponents have completed 80.4% of their passes for 6 TDs and 0 INTs. When the Bills' offense needed the defense most due to a myriad of injuries to the OL and WRs, they played worse than awful. You can't possibly win games when you allow your opponent to complete 80 Freaking % of their passes. I will go further and say that the abysmal defense has contributed to the offense's problems by making them 1 dimensional because they have been playing from so far behind.

Injuries aka lack of depth 2. George Edwards is awful as DC. Defense has played under its ability all season. Turnovers early in the season masked problems. CB's today were out of position and lost. Too many receivers left wide open in coverage. 3. Need a conditioning coach. Do we lead the league in players on IR?
Dr. Trooth Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Ralph Wilson. He's not about winning. To him it's a husiness. And, at over 90 years of age, he doesn't have the passion to win. The team is being groomed for market when he eventually passes. That's why he does the bare minimum needed to field a 53 man roster and sell tickets. Why the old bastard refuses to sell now, especially when he can have some measure of influence as to he sells to, is a travesty to the fans.
BillsfaninFl Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 What collapse? Look at the records of the past dozen years. No matter how bad a team is, they put it together occasionally and get a few wins in a row. There have been several times that Bills fans have thought the team was improving and it is just a matter of time before they will be competitive every week of the season. Sorry to say it for the umpteenth time, but the reason this team cannot get to that level is because of the way it is managed at the top. Same old facts: poor drafting, poor at signing good free agents, unable to keep good players in Buffalo, unwilling to hire elite GMs and coaches, etc., etc., etc.

Spiller---below not even mediocre and at 7 million a season Troup---big nothing burger, this pick with local boy Gronk rated no. 1 TE on the board. Carrington--mediocre, backup Easley--zip Batten--lucky to be on a roster Ed Wang--cut Moats---mediocre Calloway--cut. Levi Brown--nothing burger

Bleeding Bills Blue Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Watching the game, complaints can be made about every aspect of this team. To me it starts at the top with chans play calling, which has been just plain bad. Even in garbage time we cant get in the endzone. Down 7-3 we go pass, pass, pass with every one coming out of a 5 or 4 wide shotgun snap. I know hes trying to play to fitz's strengths, but youre also playing to our weaknesses on the line, and depth at wideout. Fitz looks shaken up, and a good dose of running plays and play action could go a long way to moving the chains.
billsfan714 Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Why do people undermine their own credibility with idiotic statements like this? Maybe because entering the season Dareus in the only guy starting from 2 drafts? Or because its true. Well we can count Sheppard after a few games. So thats 2 starters in 2 drafts. Buddy should have this turned around in 11 years or so then.
