No one is arguing for Janeway?

:P

I liked the show, but Janeway couldn't even hold Picards or Kirks jocks. Typical episode....

Tuvok : Captain, we're under attack from an unknown alien species

Janeway : Senior staff to my conference room to decide what we will do

I think Scott Bakula would have been the best captain if he constantly received help from Al and Ziggy.-

The debate is on! So take off those glasses and stow your retainers cause its going to get ugly in here. The loser will hereby be banned from all Sci-Fi Cons, including the exclusive Bi-Mon-Sci-Fi-Con. The winner will be bestowed the title of, and forever be known at TBD as, Honorary Captain of the Enterprise and certainly die a virgin. Good luck!

"I mean....LOOK at you...you there, have you ever kissed a girl?"

Guy with the face tatoos: We should do ....

Janeway: I agree

Crew: We agree, why isn't he the Captain?

7 of 9: Look at my boobs

Only reason the show wasn't cancelled: Yes, let's all look at her awesome boobage

Grew up a lad, watching the original show, over and over, in the 70's in syndicated reruns...loved it. Still do (all three seasons on blu-ray!)...

Years later, started watching Next Generation...after two pretty mediocre to bad, seasons, it blossomed into a a really great show, for the most part. Loved Deep Space 9!!!

Started watching Voyager, in fact, followed it for quite a while, even though I thought it was really bad...one week, watching it..it was about Chakotay's "dream spirit" (or some such nonsense) being in the boxing ring...it was, perhaps, 20 x as bad as the worst episode of the third season of the origianl...I gave up on the franchise at that point...I didn't care if Voyager and her boring crew ever made it back to the other side of the worm-hole...

I tried watching a few episodes of "Enterprise" but I couldn't stand it...it was kind of what the "Twilight" movies would be to "Nosferatu"....and there is just something I don't like about Scott Bakula...the movies were, for the most part, okay...but not great, after Kahn. "First Contact" (featuring the Next Generation crew) was the only one of the movies of the TNG crew that was memorable in any way...thought the recent "re-boot" was fun enough...

The Empath?? The Way To Eden??????? Unwatchable. Abraham Lincoln fighting Klingons? C'mon, man!

Third season of original Trek had it's problems...but, it also had some really good episodes too.."Enterprise Incident", "Tholian Web", "Day of the Dove" and "Wink of An Eye"... and besides, "Way to Eden" and the "Savage Curtain" have some camp fun that makes them great to see, still...different times...love Spocks' jam, on the Vulcan harp...Spock was "one"...but Kirk, like you it appears, was a "Herbert"...an L7 if you will... :P

But they couldn't help him because he didn't start running the Enterprise until AFTER he stopped leaping and as everyone knows they could only help him when/where he leaped and he could ONLY leap to dates that were earlier within his own lifetime.

But what if they were to slingshot around the sun and travel back in time far enough to a point where he could still leap? That seems totally plausible to me and it could open the door to a few mentionings of nuclear wessels.

And as for the original series, that had to have been the origin of the whole idea where the evil twin (ok, not really an evil twin in this case) always has a goatie, right? That has to be the greatest gift of all from the Star Trek universe.

Funny, I would have said it was either Batgirl painted green or the Drill Thrall Shanah.

Okay, okay...that probably won't be settled...but I had to let you guys know about this since I haven't seen it discussed yet.

I was reading my usual DVD Picks and Peeks by Harry Knowles on AICN.com, and one of the things I found mentioned was the new documentary The Captains. It's directed by Shatner (of course...the logical choice) and the great news is that it's available on NETFLIX streaming!

I'm about to sit down right now and check it out...If anyone else has seen it, or plans to, chime in and share your thoughts!

And just for the record...Kirk > Picard.

Maybe that is based on better acting on Kirk II in latest movie.

Sherry Jackson (Andrea in "What Are Little Girls Made Of?) could take them both. "Phasers set to stunning"!

Here she is in a non-Trek role...probably NSFW, unless you work at Flays Steak House, or Radice's! :P

The Empath and The Way To Eden weren't that bad. Not good, but still not nearly as awful as The Apple or Spock's Brain. ("Brain and brain! What is brain!" Apparently what the writer of that episode was lacking.)

You can have her, I'll take Leslie Parrish ("Who Mourns for Adonis"). Gorgeous, and greatest dress ever: a front, but no sides or back.

Here's a guide to the women of Star Trek TOS: http://allyourtrekarebelongto.us/toswomen.htm

I was always partial to Deela

Yes, Deela was hot...as was the Lt Marlena Moreu, from "Mirror Mirror" :

Nona from "A Private Little War"

"Elaan Of Toryius"

And of course, Kirk's first wife, Miramanee, from "The Paradise Syndrome":

I guess I am partial to brunetts! :P

But, a nod to the fair haired ladies, Teri Garr was quirky, sexy in "Assignment: Earth" and Maritte Heartly made quite an impression as a kid, in her fur bikini trying to keep Mr Spock warm, in "The Savage Curtain"...that is the one with Abe Lincoln, inspirationaly fighting side by side with Kirk, Spock and Surak of Vulcan! In the end, they are just fighting what looks like a steaming turd creature!

Okay, I have delved in to my previous life as nerd for too long here...Kirk out!

I cannot believe this is even a topic for discussion, or that there would be any debate whatsoever on the subject...

FACT, Mr. Spock - We know nothing of the aliens, or their intentions...

FACT, Mr. Spock - I am responsible for the lives of 430 crewmen...

ABSOLUTE, INCONTROVERTIBLE FACT, one and all...

Kirk > Picard

Bit of a tangent here (sort of), but I'm currently in the middle of watching "Judgement at Nuremberg", and it has a 30 y.o. pre-Captain Kirk William Shatner in it. So far the part hasn't really demanded much range from him at all, but it's interesting watching him act since this was about 5 years pre-Star Trek. He's just sort of chillin in Germany with his cute German babe.

anyway, carrry on...

PS. The Senator speaks the truth!!

BTW- If I am not mistaken, this episode, "Wink Of an Eye", had a scene that was "censored" in parts of the US, upon it's original airing...at the start of a scene in Kirks' quarters, Deela is laying on the bed, and Kirk is pulling on his boots...implying that he has just "sealed the deal" so to speak.
