Maybe the scandal should be that they didn't listen to him? Or maybe the scandal should be that Barney Frank protected his boyfriend's program at Freddie Mac contributing to the collapse of our economy?

He SHOULD join Barney Frank as a member of the group of people not running for president! But I hope our "Housing Historian" stays around awhile

Wait, I'm not sure now, which news outlets are part of the left-wing media conspiracy? 'Cause I saw him getting crucified for this $1.6 million thing on Fox News this afternoon too.
3rdnlng Posted November 16, 2011 Author Posted November 16, 2011 Newt worked for that evil organization? That's horrible! He SHOULD join Barney Frank as a member of the group of people not running for president! But I hope our "Housing Historian" stays around awhile Did you read the article, or as usual did you just decide to assume things? What did you think about the vast sums of money that Freddie Mac donated to NAMBLA even after Newt advised them to stop immediately? Wait, I'm not sure now, which news outlets are part of the left-wing media conspiracy? 'Cause I saw him getting crucified for this $1.6 million thing on Fox News this afternoon too. Why should anyone criticize him for a consulting contract that paid him $160,000 a year? Maybe the scandal should be centered around the fact that Fredie Mac didn't listen to him? BTW, who was doing the crucifying at Fox?

I do remember that she was a definite "yes" though. And I'm not answering your first question because I never asserted such a thing. Reading comprehension FTW.
Headwest Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 The liberal attack machine automatically kicks in when anyone sniffs the top approval scale. Bachman then Perry then Cain and now Newt, the difference is the way Newt will handle it.

Fox does have a lot of hotties and surprisingly enough most are intelligent.

Whats more believable, a vast left-wing conspiracy to destroy the right, or a few people not being fit for president? It's a small sample size, but there really isn't a viable presidential candidate in the group for a variety of reasons.

WilliamCody Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Does the left have any viable candidates? It depends on who you ask. There is no doubt that many feel that Obama has mismanaged this administration so much that anyone would be better than him. I haven't made up my mind yet and it really depends on who the eventual Republican candidate is. But I really can't see myself being entirely happy about whoever I vote for in 2012. but that's the nature of democracy, isn't it? Everyone feels either somewhat shortchanged or completely slighted.

Come on now, Newt is part of the corrupt Washington machine. I just found out about this and I have no intention of ever voting for Newt Gingrich. It's a shame that Palin didn't run. She'd be kicking all of these bozo's rear ends by now. If she's not electable over an inept corrupt socialist like Obama then this country truly is screwed.

So, you would consider voting for Obama again?
Magox Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Ok, without a doubt the scrutiny that conservative candidates receive from the media isn't comparable to candidates from the left, but Newt was acting like a hypocrite. I mean he called out Barney and Dodd for their ties to Freddy Mac and then we find out he was a paid consultant for the very same companies he has been lambasting. And 1billsfan, paaaaleeeeesssseeeee. Palin is a very weak candidate, who would have no shot ever, I mean ever in beating Obama.

Mismanaged? You first have to manage something before you can mismanage it. Obama is the very definition of an empty suit who's entire career has been one long permanent vacation. He doesn't like to work and he leaves the decision making to others.
IDBillzFan Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 But I really can't see myself being entirely happy about whoever I vote for in 2012. Welcome to my 2008.

That's what the liberal media wanted you to think. Truth is, she'd have won the nomination and crushed Obama in the general. Obama is the worst president this country has ever had. The media got him elected, they got the Obamacare passed and then they successfully brainwashed the American people into thinking Palin was nothing but a walking punchline. Do I like Palin's folksy, "aw shucks" personality? Not particularly. But she'd have turned Washington on it's head and that's what we need more than anything.

Newt was involved in a scandal with Freddie Mac and President Obama is a socialist plant, from the old Russian Czars......At least it's entertainment....... Dear Mr. Yesbut: Please explain what scandal Newt was involved with. His company had a contract with Freddie Mac to do some consulting. His company was paid 1.6 million over ten years for that consulting. He advised them that they were screwing up and they did not take his advice. Where is the scandal? Two things: Stating that Obama is a socialist plant from the old Russian Czars is an assinine comment worthy of a Conner Award. Were the Czars socialist? Are you ever going to take a stand on anything? The reason I call you Yesbut is because that is what you invariably say. You equivocate on everything.
Chef Jim Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Welcome to American politics. Newt was involved in a scandal with Freddie Mac and President Obama is a socialist plant, from the old Russian Czars......At least it's entertainment....... Speaking of Russians I have no better place to put this than here. I was listening to Alan Colmes last night on the way home from work. This guy really gets my blood boiling. He had Bill Clinton on (which I'm sorry I missed) and a guy calls in to bash Clinton for allowing Russian General to come to the base he was stationed on and inspect a tank (M1A2?) and he thought that was a crazy thing to do seeing it was relatively new. Colmes said "But the Russians are our allies". The guy said "yeah, but not in 1995". Colmes replies "Yeah, but what year is it now?" and hangs up on the guy. WTF?!?!

Dear Mr. I get stepped on when I walk outside by the same people that took my lunch money in school If you couldn't see the sarcasm in that statement, I can't help you. It is a clear fact that our politicians do the wonderful job they do, because of the partisan divide we have. That statement was meant to be nonsense. President Obama is not the socialist that the right makes him out to be and Gingrich isn't the scandalous clod the left makes him out to be (although the hair is terrible). I still don't know what to make of President Bush- he increased spending to include two wars and numerous other things and decreased taxes- and be 'he", I mean the whole government- not him. If it seems like I equivocate on everything, it is because being successful will include a delicate balance of ideas from the right and left- if one side's ideas would fix everything, there would only be one side. If it makes you feel any better, my family thinks I am right wing.......
