Mr. WEO Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I wouldn't mind an 18 game season every year. It means we win at least a playoff game per year.
Dorkington Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 FFS. We must have terrrible conditioning coaches or something. Either way, more proof that we badly need to find some depth on this team, at just about every position.
mjohns85 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Am I the only one that links the Bills recent offensive woes to the fact that we're down to playing 3rd string at LT and 2nd string at LG? Bingo. Up until 2 games ago we had given up the fewest sacks in the league. Since Levitre has moved to LT, we have scored 11 and 7 points. I am not saying we had the best o-line, but they were playing well. Our offense is all about timing and using 5 wide sets to open up the running game. I was confident that we would back to business at usual once either Bell or Hairston came back. Woods injury may be the straw that broke the camels back.
Alphadawg7 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 So glad I just got an Eric wood jersey. !@#$ing !@#$ !@#$ !@#$! So its your fault, you jinxed him
CardinalScotts Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 O-line has not been a problem and still won't be....lack of physical wideouts that's another issue
Sisyphean Bills Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Wood is reportedly out for the season.
Geno Smith's Arm Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I believe Chan said Levitre would play center and Hairston LG. Am I the only one that links the Bills recent offensive woes to the fact that we're down to playing 3rd string at LT and 2nd string at LG? No! I posted it every hour, on the hour. It's had a domino effect on the offense. I am hoping that Hairston has the skill set to play LG. That would help. I don't hope for ANY players to get injured, but I am wondering when, or if it will be any other teams turn to fall off like this?
John from Riverside Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 To the people who think we would actually bench Pears...please....dont breed Christ some of the things people come up with around here
Kevin Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 not so fast we have Corbin Brown (is that his name)... do you have any idea how much money the Bills saved on that move? Goes straight to the bottom line! I love you man haha
2020 Our Year For Sure Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Move Pears to guard, bench Rinehart? Or more trouble than it's worth?
1gap2gap Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 If Bell or Hairston are OK, Andy should be moved in too center for the rest of the year. He is smart and can handle all the line calls and is a leader. He also has the respect of the QB and Coach and can make suggestions as the game goes along. This would be the smartest move. If Bell or Hairston are not OK than Urbeck until they are OK to play but.... Andy needs to be moved inside to center at some point.
BUFFALOKIE Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Whatever happened to the mandatory knee braces? They did this in OTAs last year. Linemen should wear them year round. Does a knee brace really slow them down that much? Are they uncomfortable? Why don't they wear them????
bowery4 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Hairston will be back @ LT next week I read somewhere so yeah Andy goes to center. The guy that filled in at guard last week, anyone notice if he played badly (and what is is name)?
NishP Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I think it was Colin brown, he must have played well we ran pretty good with him in there..... I think it was Colin brown, he must have played well we ran pretty good with him in there.....
bowery4 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Thanks I didn't know his name and didn't notice him (except when he came in), which is supposed to be a good thing.
Green Lightning Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I think it was Colin brown, he must have played well we ran pretty good with him in there..... I think it was Colin brown, he must have played well we ran pretty good with him in there..... You can say that again.
BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Where is Bell? Does he ever heal?
Dopey Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I believe Chan said Levitre would play center and Hairston LG. Am I the only one that links the Bills recent offensive woes to the fact that we're down to playing 3rd string at LT and 2nd string at LG?
Trader Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Well, you can add C to our list of longterm needs. Not sure how many leg injuries a guy can endure. You made an excellent point here Bear. Outstanding centers on championship teams tend to be Iron men. I think Wood is our best lineman but Centers have to stay in the lineup. Guys like Kent Hull and Alex Webester come to mind. It's not Eric Woods fault some guys are injury prone. An ACL for a big man is a huge problem.
