Peter Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 It would have been better if the score had been reversed. It was a pretty miserable day -- not only to lose, but to lose the way we did to the Cowboys.
Talley56 Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 No problem with it whatsoever. It was certainly the least of my complaints about the way we played today.
BRH Posted November 14, 2011 Author Posted November 14, 2011 It was certainly the least of my complaints about the way we played today. I can't argue with that. Just calling it like I saw it.
Buffal0 Bill5 Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 It did seem cheesy, but which of us have never done anything dorky or slightly embarrassing for a girl we were gaga over?
Big Turk Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 I think he just wanted to make sure he would be able to give her something else later tonite...
NishP Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 LMAO at all of you guys, who gives a damn...... his girlfriend, his ball, do what ever the !@#$ you want with it...... at least he scored. Lets talk about the stevie drops, donald jones drops, fitz picks, mckelvin or even drayton getting burnt, not about what a player does with HIS football after he scores! he played that game to the best of his ability and made plays when the ball wasn't throw right to the other team lol.
miserable_fan Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 As long as the guy scores, he can give whatever he wants to his girlfriend. +1
Rayzer32 Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 It was fine by me....he was the only one on the team that got into the end zone today. He should have celebrated.
reddogblitz Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Hugging a cheer leader for the opposition just don't' seem right no matter the circumstances. I wonder if Dick Butkis or Mike Ditka would have ever done such a thing? At least he didn't propose though. That would have been really dumb.
NFLBighits Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 I guess if he would've dropped it then ran and picked up the ball and then only then run and hand her the Ball
JerseyBills Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Lol I think he was being sarcastic bud, or maybe not, but even though i'm not high on his coaching ability, a guy like Gailey would get rid of a player in a heartbeat if they weren't motivated enough. As for the move, who cares? He even said he wanted to do more but because they were down so much he didn't want to celebrate to much. Nelson never isn't some flashy over the top guy, he's a quiet, humble dude, who does his job, big deal that he did this, knowing he might not play in front of his girl again for a few years. Stop blowing stuff out of proportion
Gray Beard Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 I thought it was cheesy, but I am not upset at all about it. He has been a consistent bright spot on this team. He can do whatever he wants with his ball. I hope she doesn't get in trouble.
Mickey Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Or he could focus on the game. Yeah, because running down the sideline and handing a ball to someone takes sooooo much concentration, he couldn't possibly still had enough brain power left to focus on the game.
Bills(70) Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Loved it. Obviously a classy guy, thought that was the highlight of the game for the Bills.
EldaBillsFan Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 We need to use Nelson as a Hybrid TE ....
CSBill Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Okay, I'll bite. Anyone else think David Nelson looked like a fool handing the TD ball to his girlfriend? I can see it if you're winning big or if you're at least playing like you belong on the same field with your opponent. But down 21-0 and getting absolutely strafed? Unprofessional. Sorry to be a wet blanket, but I cringed. I'm surprised the Cowboys didn't hand every scoring ball to her after that. it was cute, and if she was my girl, I'd crawl all the way over there. .... just like I would be for honey (in case my wife is reading TBD posts).

papazoid Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 from david's side....i thought it was a loving gesture from the heart. from her side....she looked uncomfortable and rightly so....as an employee (or whatever) of the cowboys, she was put in an akward position of fraternizing with the enemy....wouldn't surprise me if she somehow didn't make the team next year for this stunt.
