BuffaloBill
I like Stevie Johnson and I hope the Bills resign him. However, he is not "top receiver " who can draw double coverage and take control of the game.

I've said it before you'd like for Stevie to be your fantastic #2 not your mediocre #

Durham_Bills_Fan
I agree completely, I think the Peerless Price experiment in Atlanta is a pretty apt comparison - Stevie is a great compliment, but not a leading man. The only problem is the Bills don't seem to have anyone who is anywhere close to a game-changer on our recieving corps. Late round draft picks, and undrafted free agents make fun stories, but without elite athletic talent (AJ Green, Julio Jones, Calvin Johnson, etc.) we are stuck relying on our scheme to generate open recievers. Johnson is not the same player this year. He can't run. I don't know if the groin injury is nagging him but I'm thinking he may end up on IR soon. Dorkington
He's an ok #2 guy... on a bad team. But no way can he be a #1 guy on any decent team.
BuffaloBillsForever
I like him a lot and he is a polarizing figure in Buffalo BUT if he is demanding over 6 million a year is he really worth it?
FreakPop
Some of us here said he was not going to have as successful of a year as last year due to Evans leaving. Evans commanded the #1 corner and double teams leaving SJ with man up coverage. No Evans anymore to take that away.

Pirate Angel
Not sure what good #2 receiver money is but that what he should get, after canning McKelvin we should be able to get him signed
Dragonborn10
Johnson just isn't that good. If he were on an opposing team would anyone in this forum fear him?
deep2evans
he is good. he's an excellent route runner, which isn't as valuable if you're not running at full speed. the dude has a bad groin. that'll kill you. can we please not run another good player out of town just because he isn't performing at a pro-bowl clip? everyone else around him is sucking too. CodeMonkey
In my opinion Johnson is not a big time WR and therefore should not get a big time contract. But, I didn't think Fitz would get the contract he did either so what do I know.
