truth on hold Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 (edited) Whenever I hear Firth of Fifth from Genesis (which isn't often) it stays in my head for days. The "haunting" part is first introduced at 3:30, and picked up again by the guitar solo that starts at 5:45. Edited November 13, 2011 by Joe_the_6_pack
Pilsner Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 I think the tune in the movie Ravenous is a bit unsettling. But that might have to do with it being associated with the premise of the movie.

SageAgainstTheMachine Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 I've always thought that the melody to Zeppelin's When the Levee Breaks was simultaneously kick ass and haunting. I don't know if you'd call it a bridge or a secondary motif to the base melody, but the part starting at 2:30 of the vid just gets me every time.

Jauronimo Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 (edited) "I Walked" by the Sufjan also qualifies. Nine Inch Nails - , always gives me chills, but there's no melody to be found there. I think it also blew the speakers in my car. Edited November 14, 2011 by Jauronimo
