I'm with you there...took me forever to get on facebook, and I rarely even use that. I have no desire to "twitt"

your boy josh trajik tanked to me yest. maybe thank stupid nicole again. dirty diana in that "josh" style didnt work at all. he looked like a horror movie singer.

melany was good as usual

marcus canty the true ready performer (kinda like a bruno mars), excellent again

even gangster chris rene was good. man he looks so cool when he's not "ganged up" i hate the ganster "look" its stupid and unattractive.

Drew literally knocked it out of the park with Billy Jean, MERCY!!!

What a beautiful, soulful, sultry rendition, the one thing I may have added would have been some slow mo video in time with the music of Michael Jackson doing dance moves in the background behind her, man I loved it, Drew has Superstar written all over her cute little face, Wow!

Sitting in the chair idea was awesome and my hat goes off to Simon for handling Drew in such a masterful way...

I felt like Nicole was trying to turn my boy homo last night. I agree the song choice was stupid, and what was up with that "wind in the hair" crap?? That was gay as HELL! I really didn't care for that performance at all...I know MJ isnt' his style, but it's a big catalog. I would have picked something a bit more obscure instead of messing with Dirty Diana. Nicole is still smokin' hot though :D

I didn't care melanie even though that's one of my favorite MJ songs.

I liked Drew, and I agree with the Fig that Simon is handling her just fine. She's a nice change of pace to the over-production on most of the other performances. I prefer they don't use background singers and all the pyrotechnics. Drew is just a girl and a mic. It works.

I liked Marcus (don't usually care for him, but I enjoyed this performance).

I gave the FF treatment to Astro (and all his "astro-nuts"), Rachel and C.Rene.

PS. Am I the only one creeped out by MJ's kids?

Great job from drew. finally. i'll give you that. but if she thinks at her age all she will sing are super slow songs..... she's not going to make it.

14 yr olds cant fill an album with super slow and boring originals. it just will not work. please..... she's not adelle.

ps. i listen to super slow love songs all day. so im a good judge.

she needs to be a little poppy. teen stuff, then progress to the adelle stuff.

not really.

teen dude appeared to be pretty sharp. promoted the vegas show pretty good.

teen girl (pretty) also sounded good. even a little eloquent.

little boy looked sad/bored. but nothing too outrageous.

dont beatyourself.

i thought the 4 country girls would win it all. super pretty. 4 girls different from each other. cool ass name. dakota rayne... country. america has been voting country lately. but then they got the boot a while back.

actually im surprised simon admitted on tv that he messed up with her. c'mon you cant do ONLY of anything. you cant do ONLY slow. only fast. only salsa. at least not for this competition. what is interesting? i thought drew did a kick ass job for her save me song. she sang high and low. her range was great. it was not a one note the whole song. hit all the notes. moved around. HOWEVER, canty was going for the emotional vote and girls.... paula/nicole. he got to their heart. IF MARCUS sings to the crowd or does a dance song, he's out. cuz drew was pretty good 2 days in a row.

Myself personally, I place a big emphasis on being creative or unique and in my opinion good singers are a dime a dozen. I've come to the conclusion after watching years of American Idol that the majority of voters out there look at it American Idol or X Factor as a nation wide Karaoke contest. Now the two most unique contestants on X factor in Drew and Astro are gone.

It is what it is, so no, I don't beat myself uo over it, but thanks for saying...

I think it's true what you say here...my favorite instrument (by far) is the human voice. I could know absolutely nothing about a given performer, but if I hear a track during a movie, on a commercial, on the radio, etc, where the vocal is unique and has some sort of impact on me as I listen, I will track down the name of the artist and pick up the CD on the spot.

I was watching a chick flick back a few years ago with a lady friend (it had Mark Ruffalo and Reese Witherspoon in it), and about half way through the film I heard this song that really caught my attention. I thought the lyrics were very smart and creative, and the vocals were great. I waited to see the credits and found the song to be "Colors" by Amos Lee. I went out and picked up his CD from Borders, and over the last five or six years this guy has taken a spot up there with Radiohead, Queen, and a few others as one my favorite musicians/groups. I've seen him play live (great show!) and have picked up all of his CDs since.

But yeah, that unique quality - both in terms of the vocals and the lyrics - is what I look for, too...so I can relate :D

That was just beautiful.

"Mommy, you promised!"

LOL...I didn't really care who went home tonight, but Nicole and Paula need to grow some balls and quit with this timid whining every week. Nicole was a total wimp tonight...

As long as Josh and Melanie are through, I'll keep watching.

ill give it to xfactor. elimination episodes are really great. specially the last scene after commercial break.

with idol you get 2 performances from JUDGES from the show (lol), ryan extending the show over and over and over. then person leaves with a song. im going to still watch idol. but they better add some xyz factor too.

I had such high hopes for Idol last season...and then friggin Scotty came along and ruined the whole thing lol. I will definitely watch Idol too, not just because I still enjoy the idea of finding and transforming someone into a marketable pop performer, but I also enjoy talking about it on here with you guys. I'll be surprised if they get anywhere near the talent they had last season, or the talent that Xfactor was able to find this season.

BTW, does anyone else think L.A. Reid is a bit light in the loafers?

I watched the final performances last night and thought that having the stars sing with them was really a bad idea. If I had 5mil on the line and was in competition with two others, there's no WAY I'd want to have celebrities messing with that. Not only must it have been really uncomfortable for the contestants, but it could really screw with the voting. What happens if a fan of Melanie Amaro hates R.Kelly because of his pedophile issues or whatever, and they end up not voting as a result of that? What if someone isn't really much of a fan of Chris Rene, but they happen to be a huge fan of (frickin) Avril Levigne and so they decide to vote for him because of her involvement? And then to only get one song after that? I dunno, I think the celebrities should be restricted to the results show/finale. I didn't think any of the duets were particularly good anyway, although I have to say Alanis was looking hotter than I've ever seen her look.

I have no idea how this vote will go...I want to see my boy Josh take home the five mil, but I think it may end up being Melanie.

I think he could win in a final 2, but in this final 3, the two guys will split the soccer mom/teen girl vote and Melanie wins it... we will see.

people aren't like that aj.

i wanted chris rene to win it. too bad.

if not chris, then melany. she has the big ol voice. she deserved it too. josh still needs some movement/more stage presence too. imo. im not sure he has enough drive.... can you see him selling cds out of the trunk of his car??? i dont think so. he's too humble and shy. that doesnt make it in the music world.

there was talent here. next year the talent should be better. now that people know the xfactor is the real deal.
