Mr_Blizzard Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Did McCargo even report for practice? ONE DAY?? Sheesh!
nemhoff Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 I don't think Lynch was a bust. He'll be an NFL running back for a while. His days here were numbered after the hit and run. Lynch had 135 and a TD last week for the Seahawks...not too shabby
truth on hold Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Did McCargo even report for practice? ONE DAY?? Sheesh! That's really pretty rude to the guy. Youd think the CBA would have some kind of protection against it. Like you have to keep the guy a minimum 4 weeks even if it's relegated to the practice squad.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 That's really pretty rude to the guy. Youd think the CBA would have some kind of protection against it. Like you have to keep the guy a minimum 4 weeks even if it's relegated to the practice squad. Minimally I think he'd get travel and lodging (assuming this actually happened). Beyond that I don't know if the CBA provides for anything. Maybe there was a small signing bonus involved… that would be guaranteed. I could see a scenario where a team could say "we're looking at you and player B and player C. If you take X amount of money, we'll sign you. In other words, take the advantage of dictating terms to a player who basically has no leverage. It wouldn't surprise me if this happened from time to time… especially with a team tight to the cap.
26CornerBlitz Posted November 14, 2011 Author Posted November 14, 2011 TBBuccaneers Tampa Bay Buccaneers The Bucs have placed DE George Johnson on injured reserve and re-signed DT John McCargo. He's baaaack!!! LOL How long this time??
Max997 Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 i bet if the Jets signed him he would get 3 sacks and certain people would say the Bills were wrong to cut him
