Mike Leach Actually, nothing in that article stating Ole Miss is even remotely interested in Leach (or Rich Rod for that matter). It's an article of a person's opinion of why the school should go after Leach or Rich Rod (because both have a "gimmick"). The author does not make any attempt to counteract any "cons" the coaches may have, but chooses to gloss over them (Rich Rod wasn't a fit at Michigan), or ignore them completely. Been saying it for awhile now: that's due to Leach and/or his agent throwing his name out there trying to keep Leach relevant as a HC. It should be noted, the year Nutt/OM played against Leach/TT in the Cotton Bowl, was the year TT went 11-2. Ole Miss won the game. Link: Mike Leach has agreement to coach Washington State (USA TODAY) ...According to a story by CBSSports.com, the deal is for five years and would make Leach the third-highest paid coach in the Pac-12. Leach, 50, was fired by Texas Tech in December of 2009 following a dispute over his handling of receiver Adam James... In reaction to his firing, Leach filed a lawsuit against the school and ESPN. That lawsuit is still pending. Looks like Leach is going to be a very wealthy guy - especially after both Texas Tech and ESPN offer him huge settlements.
