The best qb of all time didnt have the best skills. Joe Montana. No way he had a cannon arm like Bledsoe. But he was much smarter. Much cooler. Very much more composed. Brady reminds me of Joe him to a certain extent.

he's not standing behind an all pro offensive line

"historical" (mythical) offenses... he can function in ANY offense you put him in

Say what you will... but folks close to the game and those who know the game would roll over laughing their arses off reading your analogy of Brady

Pro Bowl linemen are what you're referring to, not Pro Bowl lines. Folks "close to the game" laugh their asses off at fans who don't recognize that a line plays as a unit and players sent to the Pro Bowl is no indication of the best lines and schemes in the game. Those same people who find the naivete of thinking Pro-Bowl linemen make a line Pro-Bowl quality also find it hilarious that any fan would ever suggest that a weak armed QB like Brady could possibly play in the big play offenses of the NFL- and those offenses are hardly mythical. In fact, those "close to the game", in fact even those with merely a cursory understanding of the NFL and its history realize that short pass offenses are nearly exclusively a modern phenomenon. I appreciate your Christmas humor though-"he can function in ANY offense you put him in "- That should carry me right through to Saturday-You have a Jolly one too!

As mentioned earlier... he also benefitted from being a "system" quarterback... same as Bart Starr. Would Brady, in the position Bledsoe is in have any more success than Drew has?

In case you forgot, Drew Bledsoe was QB of the Patriots for 8 years prior to Brady taking his position. So the answer would be YES.

And Bill Belichick was a can eating goat in Cleveland before he became a genius- but you can be forgiven for your shallow understanding of the game because you are, after all, a Pats Troll! Bill's fans simply have higher standards ;-)

Here's news: There was football before you were born.

He'd have been an absolute disaster on a cold weather team (especially in Buffalo). The ultimate example of a system QB who benefitted greatly from the tremendous talent around him.

Example: Remember how pathetic he looked in the AFC Championship game at Rich? 9 for 23, 125 yards, 2 interceptions. Windy day.

Perhaps we should boot Montana OUT of the Hall of Fame then?

All speculation on your part. Your basing Montana's real talent on one game while ignoring all his Super Bowls. Because he got knocked around in one game it means he would suck in cold weather? If your actually going to say the Bledsoe would have been just as effective as Monatana in with that team then I really know your out too lunch. Thing is Drew wouldnt have made it that far on the Niners. They would have figured out he wasnt good enough before they even signed him. Just amazing that a streak like this against crap teams leads Bills fans to put Bledsoe on the same level as Joe Montana. Im happy with the Bills streak and right now Drew is adequet. Damn I get a chubby thinking where this team would be with Montana!!! Or Brady for that matter. System or not who cares. What they do/did on the field speaks for itself. I know what I see and its guys spotting recievers and finding them when they have to. Knowing when to throw it away and when to eat it. No mistakes and winning under pressure. When Drew does this I will eat my words. But he wont. He will crumble like he always does. Dude just cant deal with pressure.

That's simply foolish and contrary to the facts. A QB doesn't become the 10th most productive QB in the history of the NFL without having desirable QB skills. Is Bledsoe a complete QB- No way. Was Joe Montana? No way. Is Brett Favre? No way. Culpepper/Vick/McNair/etc. etc- No way. In our lifetime there's one who might have eventually put the whole thing together, at least IMO- a guy who lost a lot of big games before he settled down at the very end of his career and used all those great skills- including the ability to throw over opponents coverage (the primary skill Brady and Montana is/was lacking), to finally take his team over the top. Elway was fun to watch when he ran, but once he developed the discipline to stay in the pocket he became for my money the best in history. HGe didn't need a system to hide his flaws like Brady/Montana, he simply had to exorcise his instinct to run.
