ExiledInIllinois Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 I hate Standard Time. It'll be getting dark at 4:30 soon. Depends where you live in relation to the time zone line... And about an hour... I am just to the west of the central time zone... Daylight savings is brutal in the morning... It was still dark at 0730.
Mr_Blizzard Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Has anyone been in a bar that has stayed open at 2am, since with the turn back it was then 1am? (Here in Onondaga County bars close at 2am) Once, many years ago . . .

(Here in Onondaga County bars close at 2am) Pretty much every bar where I grew up did that. For that reason is was my favorite night of the year. And like Mr. Blizzard that was many, many years ago.

Chef Jim Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 I don't remember the year, but Reagan was president at the time . . . Mine goes back to the Carter Administration.
Just Jack Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 The times I would be out, they always closed whatever bar we were at. That's why I was curious.

I remember them doing last call at 1:45am and then at 2:00am setting the clock back an hour and "reopening" the bar. We loved it and they got another hour of revenue and tips.
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Lol. I also have a 10 yr old and an 8 yr old but they are both boys so there is not as much drama as there is with girls. Or so I hear. I'll find out some day but no hurry. My friend Andy's parents pay for World of Warcraft and he doesn't do anything! Why do I actually have to EARN my allownce to pay for it?!?!
Just Jack Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Jay, send him to my parents house for the summer. He'll be begging to come back home by the second week in July.
