Dragonborn10 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Chan has now been asked a few times about Stevie's playful nature and responded "he has too much time on his hands". I know it is hard not to be yourself and if he is a funny guy then he should be himself. But for a guy who wants a contract extension I would not want my head coach thinking I am not putting the time and effort into preperation. I'm not saying that is what Chan is saying but I still wouldn't want to take a chance if I was a 7th round draft pick looking for the contract that will set me up for life.
nucci Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I'm sure it's all a joke. I doubt Johnson is not putting in the work in practice. No need to read too much in to nothing.
BuckeyeBill Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I think Chan has too much time on his hands. They should have beaten the Redskins 42-0
BringBackFlutie Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I legitimately crack up when I watch these pressers.
gravytrain Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 teams need personalities for the chemistry of the team. the last thing we need are a bunch of robots. save that for the chess team. don't read too much into these things. focus your energy on beating the jets this weekend. go bills.
SactoBillFan Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I think we all have too much time on our hands... Cannot believe I just went through that damn Jets smacktalk thread.
Just in Atlanta Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I think Chan thinks it's all good. There was a hint of a smile at the presser. Let them show some personality. Chan isn't a control freak like Billicheat or an anything goes blowhard like Sexy Rexy. Perfect group of characters from top down in my opinion.
Captain Hindsight Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 You ever play sports? Been in a locker room? We used to rip on each other and our coaches like crazy. If we didnt I dont think we woulda won as much
The Cincinnati Kid Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I too think stevie has too much time on his hands...professional athlete, father of two young children...to have an instant of free time to think of a funny and easily done halloween costume is just absurd...Gosh, Get Back to the Film and Condition Steven! For goodness sakes!
l< j Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 You ever play sports? Been in a locker room? Ever been in a Turkish prison? kj

That hint of a smile is about as emotional as Chan gets in those pressers. I think your analysis is dead on...
atlbillsfan1975 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Chan is a no non sense guy. having said that he also isn't pissed at stevie. I can assure you he knows how valuable Stevie is to this team.
H2o Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 (edited) You ever play sports? Been in a locker room? We used to rip on each other and our coaches like crazy. If we didnt I dont think we woulda won as much +1 It's a game. Yeah you are getting paid @ the NFL level(sometimes even college ), but it is still supposed to be fun. All work and no play would make Stevie a dull boy. Edited November 1, 2011 by H2o
cvanvol Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 (edited) I would say stevie is the second most important piece to this team right behind freddy. Fred shows all these guys perseverance and a never say die attitude. I think he is the leader they all follow and if he isnt giving up no one will. But I think stevie adds a lot of attitude and keeps it light making the guys play that much better. This was proven in that pre-season game with that high hit on jones?. Those two rushed right up and got in the safeties face that is what a leader of a team does, looks out for their guys and leads by example. Edited November 1, 2011 by cvanvol
Gugny Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 It's obvious Chan was just getting in a cheap plug for his old buddies from Styx.
EldaBillsFan Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Please.... honesty....this has to be one og the mosy blanced teams in the league....
Dragonborn10 Posted November 2, 2011 Author Posted November 2, 2011 It's all fun until he drops a game winning TD pass in OT...
Maury Ballstein Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I guess we should cut Stevie badonk? Can't have a wide reciever with personality that would be a first huh.. Stevie is the mutherefffffffin man. COME ON MAN

A 7th rounder that can cash in with pretty much any team in the nfl right now can do pretty much what he wants.....Stevie has worked hard.....thumbs down to this post ... Guess he should apologize for dressing up on Halloween.... Geeee wilikers
