SageAgainstTheMachine Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 This is a spill over from the shout box. While this is technically an opinion poll, there is only one correct answer. And it plays one mean drum kit. Bear in mind, this is very serious business.
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 (edited) I voted Swedish Chef, although it was a toss-up between him and Animal. Link Hogthrob was a darkhorse. Edited November 1, 2011 by JÂy RÛßeÒ
Pete Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I was torn between Animal, Beaker, and the Swedish Chef
Mark Vader Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I voted for Rowlf, although it was tough to choose between him and Fozzie Bear. A couple of dark horses for me were Dr. Teeth & Rizzo the Rat.
ajzepp Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I was torn between Animal, Beaker, and the Swedish Chef Those are three of my favorites too, but as I told SAge in the shout box, Beaker makes me piss my pants.
Alaska Darin Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Statler and Waldorf - and it's not even close.
ieatcrayonz Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 (edited) I voted other and will specify Howdy Doody because he was the first one. And I wouldn't have voted for him over Howdy, but how does Sweetums get left off that list? From the list I would have gone with Beaker. Edited November 1, 2011 by ieatcrayonz
Joe Miner Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Statler and Waldorf - and it's not even close. This is the correct answer folks. Thanks for playing.
Cugalabanza Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 So hard to choose. They're all so great. I finally went with Gonzo for his chicken fetish.
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted November 1, 2011 Author Posted November 1, 2011 Why no love for Snuffaluffagus? If we're gonna open this up to Sesame Street canon, it'd be too big of a **** show. Snuffy is the dude, though, yes.
Kevbeau Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Looked immediatelY at the list for Statler & Waldorf. Here's some gems: Statler: Wake up you old fool. You slept through the show. Waldorf: Who's a fool? You watched it. S: I like the steel Drums! W: What?!? S: THE PIGS' STEEL DRUMS!!! W: I beleive it! They'll take anything that isn't bolted down! Waldorf: You know, the opening is catchy. Statler: So is smallpox.
Chef Jim Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I'm a Chef and a drummer so you know my answers.
shrader Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I could vote for any of Animal, the Swedish Chef, or Statler&Waldorf. But since they're a combo deal and not a singular muppet, I might just have to stick with either of the first two.
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted November 1, 2011 Author Posted November 1, 2011 Animal is the correct answer, though I'm a little surprised at absolutely no love for Kermit.
BuffaloBill Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Animal is the correct answer, though I'm a little surprised at absolutely no love for Kermit. I voted for animal but nearly chose Statler and Waldorf. I suppose it depends whether you want to look at from a child's point of view or as an adult. Animal was fun ... Statler and Waldorf were funny. As for Kermit he was too wrapped up in Miss Piggy I just never found him to be appealing.
