BobChalmers Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 How did this offensive line get so good? Seems like voodoo to me, but I like it. They were talented and large but ridiculously inexperienced. They've finally had some time to play and learn. OLimemen need time to mature - and being badly injured as Wood and Bell were didn't help. Those of us who were preaching patience last year aren't all that surprised.

And I was thinking the same thing about Levitre - what an asset to the team. We cannot underestimate how the improved play of this group has influenced the success of this team this season--and it seems, no matter who is playing.
Bills!Win! Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 I remember last year everyone, including myself, thought of Bell, Levitre, and Wood as underachievers/busts. Now look where they are.
Koufax Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 I was a bit nervous coming into this game about Levitre having to match up against Orakpo... Against who? Never heard of him. Is that the guy drafted after lights out Maybin a few years back?
aussiebills Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 i thought the o-line would be a liability but no they are the strongest link on this team

BillnutinHouston Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Andy did a great job, and I really like how Gailey goes out of his way to praise him publicly. I'm sure he's doing it in the locker room too.
phillyrich Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 While I like Eric Wood a lot, I have to say Andy Levitre is our best O-lineman. Talent for talent, pure technique, nasty side.......AGREED. No question. E Wood is the leader of the bunch. But Andy Levitre is the best out of the group, no question.
CSBill Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Question: Will Bell be back for the Jets? And if so, do we put him back as the starter? I think so, what say you?
Ozymandius Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 I'm gonna go out on the limb and say Jauron could have never gotten this kind of production from Rinehart, Urbik, and Pears. These guys are receiving good coaching now. Pre-Gailey, unheralded offensive linemen just ended up getting their lunch ate in the trenches. Good coaching uncovers and develops diamonds in the rough.
maryland-bills-fan Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Imagine how solid the line will be when we have Bell and Harriston back at tackle. Imagine how solid it will be if man-mountain Jasper develops like he could.
