ICanSleepWhenI'mDead Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 FWIW, Ellis Lankster is another Bills castoff on the Jets roster.
aussiebills Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 maybe jets are just slobs and are afraid of the bills and are now trying to get every bit of information from every possible source on the bills
Buffalo 66 Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-10-31/jets-may-sign-former-buffalo-bills-tight-end-shawn-nelson-daily-news-says.html
Kipers Hair Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Nice to see the Jet's turning to guys who could not make the Bills...
duey Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 They're picking his brain for next weeks game. They'll release him as soon as the game is over.
plenzmd1 Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 They're picking his brain for next weeks game. They'll release him as soon as the game is over. So we should just sign who ever they cut? This stuff cracks me up
Dorkington Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 I hope he can stay healthy and be productive, I was excited about the guy's tools. That being said, I wish he could have been healthy and productive for someone that isn't a divisional opponent.
nucci Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 They're picking his brain for next weeks game. They'll release him as soon as the game is over. How many games/practices has Nelson played under Chan Gailey and this offense?
EasternOHBillsFan Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 You can smell the desperation after they watched us dismantle Washington, and they know what we did to the Patsies*!
K-9 Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 They're picking his brain for next weeks game. They'll release him as soon as the game is over. Well, that should only take a minute. GO BILLS!!!
PromoTheRobot Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Here's the secret to the Bills offense: the QB is smart enough to change plays based on the D and any player is good enough to make a play. Good luck. PTR
Spiderweb Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 I blame the refs. How do you not blow the whistle? He was stood up for 5 seconds. I was just thinking the same thing. Seemed like the officials, with his forward progress long stopped, let the Ravens attack him with a swarm until desired result had been fulfilled.
Billshank Redemption Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 nelson didn't even hit the practice field enough to be any use.
Armchair GM Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 I always liked Shawn Nelson. Very good receiving tight end...I think the Bills let him go for health (migranes?) reasons. Pretty sure we have a really good receiving tight end right now...
dhg Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Migraines will prevent him from giving the Jets any useful information.....
Buftex Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Pretty sure we have a really good receiving tight end right now... True, but you can never have too many either.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 From Twitter... Former Buffalo Bills TE Shawn Nelson tried out with the New York Jets yesterday. Former OT Langston Walker tried out with Dallas Hilarious. I'm vividly remembering all the posters who wanted the Bills to sign Dallas castoff Marco Colombo when the Cowboys released him. Now they might replace him with Langston Walker? While on the subject, how did Redskins tackle Jammal Brown (another player coveted by many here) look against the Bills? I didn't notice his play but they did give up 9 sacks. I was just thinking the same thing. Seemed like the officials, with his forward progress long stopped, let the Ravens attack him with a swarm until desired result had been fulfilled. And what was Nelson doing flailing his right hand in the air just before the fumble?
