3rdnlng Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=46958 makes me want to get schit-faced
DC Tom Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Give away diapers to "promote economic recovery"? I love the way that politicians are pandering to the masses by claiming everything is for "economic recovery". That's even lamer than claiming everything was for "national security" or "the troops".
Chef Jim Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Oh come on. There have to be several places that someone can go in their community and get free diapers that I, as someone who never bought a diaper in my life and never will, won't have to pay for.
....lybob Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Give away diapers to "promote economic recovery"? . why are you against this biohazard containment policy- you are so UnAmerican
DC Tom Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 why are you against this biohazard containment policy- you are so UnAmerican Dr. Spock lied, people died!
Just Jack Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 She looks like she'll need diapers soon herself.
/dev/null Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Dr. Spock lied, people died! But Vulcans don't lie
....lybob Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 But Vulcans don't lie Spock is only half Vulcan
/dev/null Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Spock is only half Vulcan Does that mean he only speaks half-truth?
3rdnlng Posted October 19, 2011 Author Posted October 19, 2011 Does that mean he only speaks half-truth? Dr. Spock wasn't half Vulcan and according to some wasn't very truthful or at least was full of ****.
UConn James Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Whenever I hear about the doings of our Congressional delegation, I am ashamed to live in this state. How about they reduce taxes so people can buy their own !@#$ing diapers without having to filter money through the gov't? I'm going to wake up one day and read about a United Socialist States of America where the potato farmer gives his whole crop to the FDA and gets back a 2-pound box of dehydrated spuds. What the !@#$ have we wrought? How has **** like this been allowed to happen? “The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.” ― Alexis de Tocqueville
IDBillzFan Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Here's an idea. If you can't afford diapers, DON'T HAVE A FUGGING BABY! Don't hand out diapers. Hand out birth control.
LeviF Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Here's an idea. If you can't afford diapers, DON'T HAVE A FUGGING BABY! Don't hand out diapers. Hand out birth control mandatory sterilizations. FTFY

You know that's usually my line however sometimes people find themselves in tough situations later down the road. You have a great job and you lose it due to a bad economy or even and illness or disability. However that's not what the government is for. The government is not there to provide food, clothing, shelter...diapers. That's what friend, family, charities and the church are for.
DC Tom Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Here's an idea. If you can't afford diapers, DON'T HAVE A FUGGING BABY! Don't hand out diapers. Hand out birth control. Actually, the program was to provide diapers to parents who can't put their kids in day care for lack of diapers, thus ensuring they can work and then afford diapers. Because that's certainly the biggest problem with the employment numbers right now. Diaper availability.

None of us would be in this situation if more Republicans knew what it was like to be raped and murdered, like all the people who are about to suffer these horrible crimes if the GOP refuses to pass Obama's jobs bill. [/joebidenidiocy] Because republicans won't pass jobs bill...it will lead to more rapes....and republicans are anti abortion..... so there is a looming fecal containment gap that has now been ambitiously solved with taxpayer money to buy diapers. Brilliant!
Nanker Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Yes, it's the Republicans who refuse to let the Zero Administration seize their wealth and redistribute it to the people who are so in need.

Chuck Schumer is the phoniest of phony populists- while I'd end the Bush tax cuts that's not where the real money of the rich is, someone should ask him if he'd support a bill that treated all income the same or a 1% financial transaction tax- not !@#$ing likely is my guess considering where he gets his money. Though Cain's coming at it from a different angle with employing a VAT. At least on the surface, there is a fair amount of support for a system allowing no tax deductions and having all income - including corporate and investment income taxed at an equal rate across the board. It would certainly make a crisis of sorts in the H&R Block and IRS circles.
