Rubes Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 So, so sad. I loved watching him play. I never knew anything about the center position until he came along and demonstrated how important it is. Sounds like a great person, too. RIP.
ajzepp Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Awful news... RIP, Kent...you were a great one, brother!
Bufcomments Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Maybe Kent will walk up to the Football Gods and give em a stare down . " Come on now you mean 4 Super bowls and we didn't win one?? You owe us a playoff birth this season ..." I think the Bills will continue to get timly breaks this season we have some serious help now. Had to break up the sad tone....glass half full always. RIP Kent
swede316 Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Wow...soooo sad. He was a hero to many of us playing HS football at the time and bigtime Bills fans. RIP Kent...you were one of the all time greats!!
Chandler#81 Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Stunned. Very sad day in Bills Nation. R.I.P. Kent. Thanks for the memories!
Nanker Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 R.I.P. Mr. Hull. You were the keel of a mighty ship. Your passing is very sad news.
bmur66 Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 God Bless his family. He was a great warrior for our team.
eball Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 There's really nothing I can add to this thread. It's a sad day for Kent's family and friends, and Bills Nation. One of the all time greats. Cheers to you, #67.
TAinLack. Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 May God bless you and your family! Thanks for the great memories!!
UConn James Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 You were the keel of a mighty ship. I can't put it any better than that. RIP #67
Simon Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Anybody know the reason for his death, still try to wrap my head around this. Betweent the pounding from the game and the painkillers and steroids they likely had him on trying to lead a normal life afterwards, there's only so much a body can take. This is a mean freaking game; you don't see a whole lot of old ballplayers. Andy Levitre needs to start thinking about a new number, 'cuz the #67 needs put away permanently. See ya Kent and thanks for everything. Wherever you're at brother, I hope it don't hurt no more.
BuffaloWings Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Shocking doesn't begin to describe this...RIP, Kent. Your efforts did not go unnoticed.
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 (edited) See ya Kent and thanks for everything. Wherever you're at brother, I hope it don't hurt no more. Well said, sir. Edited October 19, 2011 by JÂy RÛßeÒ
LabattBlue Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 I know some of you may find it hard to believe, but Sully brought me to tears this morning on WGR. I guess we don't realize just how close the media gets to the players they cover on a daily basis.
tennesseeboy Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 He was a crucial part of our greatest teams. It is a shame he died so young. RIP

While it's a generalization for guys who played in that era in the early part of his career, we have NO idea if Kent Hull had issues with that. Unless you know or can reference this as a fact that contributed to his passing, please show some respect until an official cause is released. Using "likely" is a cop-out.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 May he RIP. One of the all time greats Is he in the HOF?
Dude Man Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Besides being "the man in the middle" for so long, you couldn'e meet a more down to earth person. I read in the paper on the day he signed his contract he rode to practice in the back of a van? Not sure if anyone else mentioned it. Sorry. RIP.
