It's official, now I have been to many away games to see our Bills play. For the longest time I felt the jets fans were the worst but after today I'm sold. Giants fans hands down the biggest group of lame babies! My bro and I were the only bills fans in our section and when buffalo took the lead we were cheering. Few mins go by and security comes over and warms us to be respectful and stated we needed to stay seated! A little while later we get told that some "concerned fans" text security saying we had threatened them..mind you we were at the game with some friends who were season ticket holders so we were on our best behavior out of respect for them. I spoke to security and told them nothing of the sort had occured and several people near us did the same. When buffalo tied it up as expected we were again told to "knock it off" again unprovoked someone in the stands kept texting security getting us in trouble. then with 1:20 on the clock security came up to us and told us we had to leave and escorted us out of the stands! I will never go back to Jersey to ever see another game we missed the end of the game and mam I so wish I did something to deserve it!!! Scumbags! It's nothing but The Ralph for me from now on!

That really sucks man.

I think you should go back there one more time down the road and get your money's worth by being obnoxious enough to get thrown out twice over. :pirate:

Haha I agree would be worth it...then again an afternoon of dealing with the ignorant fans they have would be a long one. You know I heard "wide LEFT" at least 4 times...can't even get the direction right

There's an annoying contingency of sports fans for all cities, but the Yankees-Giants cluster around the NY area is particularly bad. The mindset is - everyone on the planet MUST be a fan of their team(s), or they're totally worthless. And it's their divine right for their teams to win every game and be world champs every season. They expect to be treated like royalty when attending a road game, but how DARE any visiting fans root against their team when its a home game. Jets fans used to be different when the team was in Queens, but they've taken on the mindset of the stadium they share.

This. Had to deal with them all the time growing up in Albany. It's the same for yankees and rangers too.

I went to the Giants game too...wore a Bills sweatshirt...saw lots of Bills fans. I had, possibly, the best seats I have ever had for a game, and I have been to quite a few...48 yard line, behind the Bills bench, 23 rows up...I had an awesome time. I took the NJ Transit to the game, from Penn Station. I must say, as a whole, I thought Giants fans were pretty cool. I am not one who is going to let a stupid comment escalate, particularly if someone is telling me my team sucks...I did see one, old man, and his wife, escorted out of the stadium...they were dressed in Giants gear...also know, there was one fight behind us, but couldn't make out if Bills fans were involved.

My seat was in front of where Phil Simms and Jim Nantz were sitting...Giants fans kept turning toward him, to salute. One idiot Bills fan, turned and gave him the finger, and caught some verbal guff for it...can't imagine anything less happening at the Ralph, if it was Jimbo, or, say, even Joe Ferguson. It was kind of disrespectful...and I am no big Simms fan. It was funny, when the Giants had that TD overturned, there was some confusion. At the stadium, it looked like a TD, and even with the replay, it looked like a TD. As the refs were mulling it over, and all the Giants fans were sure it would go in their favor, you hear someone yell "Phil says no!"...I turned around, and Simms, before the refs made any announcement, was gesturing that it was not a catch...he was right. When I saw the replay at home, it looked different than at the game.

All in all, I had a great time, except the final score...and I thought Giants fans (the real fans) were not all that different than fans of any other team. Honestly, I have seen more boorish behavior towards visiting fans, at the Ralph, than I have most anywhere else.

One thing about New York fans, in general, though...there is a "hipness" factor to going to any sporting event in New York (New Jersey?), so there are always folks there that don't know the first thing about the game, the team, etc...sat next to two nice looking ladies, both decked out in NY Giants ladies gear (likely purchased that day) who paid almost no attention to the game, except when all the Giants fans cheered...they got up and down so many times, they went, in my book, from being hot, to just annoying...I am sure this goes on in places like LA, Chicago, etc... these are the kinds of people most likely to call security.

Wish we got to sit in your section, we were 8 rows up in section 108 corner of the non tunnel end zone. Like I said we were with some friends who are giants season ticket holders. Them and there crew could not have been cooler we talked football and exchanged some mild (respectable) trash talk (my friends had a 12 year old with them so it was always clean from both sides) had a few Gmen fans who could not hold there liquor flipping us off and...well just say making oral motions to us when ever the giants scored....security gave them a polite warning. Then at the very end of e game, all of a sudden we were told we had to leave. Someone must have thought it would be funny and claimed we did some rediculas things. I just find it low class by those fans and unprofessional by the security every person within 5 rows of us were yelling support for us and telling security they were mistaken etc and it fell on def ears! For what we paid for the seats it was such a waist to have to deal with the embarrsiment and the drama. Like I said now I wish I did something to warrant it

I have given up on going to away games a long time ago. I was about 5 miles away from the stadium on Sunday and didn't even think about going to the game. Just not worth the hassle. It's better to watch it from home or a bar. Especially given the result in this case.

I'm sure there are more than a few Bills fans here who have had profanity, beer, and food hurled at them in hostile stadiums.

I agree that it sucks that people were filing false complaints against you (OP) but on the grand scale of what can happen as a visiting fan in an NFL game, I think that what you experienced is fairly mild.

I will say that it really sucks that you paid for tickets and were not able to finish watching the game. That is an injustice.

But no one threatened to beat you up or actually beat you up or anything like that.

Anyways, I am sorry that it was a bad time.

I had a great time at the game (minus the outcome, of course). No issues with fans except an old guy sitting behind us who was upset with the fact that I stood up during Roosevelt's TD.

No Giants fans could raise too much hell or they'd have to deal with lots of Bills. I was shocked by how many of us were there.

Don't mean to sound lame but its tough to cast judgment on an entire fan base because of a few fans. Its all localized. I went and had some great back and forths during the entirety of the game with it ending in mutual respect.

Sorry you had a rough time. I am going to the Dallas game, I think...I will take your frustrations out on them...they deserve it!

What I found kind of amusing, as there were so many Bills fans there, in old school jerseys, you would see Giant fans trying to high-five Bills fans, thinking they were Giants fans...saw a dude in a dark "56" LT jersey saluting another guy walking down the stairs in a white "56" Talley jersey...saw similar mistakes made with Bavaro/Tasker...I thought about wearing my old Chris Spilman jersey to the game, but decided I didn't want to pack it, and, besides, it looks too much like a Giants rag.

We had a great time at the Giant game. Although we were disappointed that the Bills, lost they played a good game and should have won.

The fans were courteous by us and there were a lot of Bills fans seating near us. Towards the end of the game after some Giants fans left, there were a few drunks that came and took their seats.

They were a little obnoxious but outside of that it was like we were at the Ralph. I had many drunks spill beer on me at the Ralph through their excitement.

We got together before the game with Ron Pinto and enjoyed the Bills Backers from NYC. Thank you all.

Here is the Catch22 of this whole texting thing at the stadiums now. Any idiot with a phone and not to hammered to use it has the ability to screw anyone in the stands by texting security and having them removed.

If you are sitting next to a big fat guy/girl and they are infringing on your space, you can text anything to security about them and if you do it enough, you can have them removed and have more space for yourself.

The whole texting security thing is wrong and should be banned. If you have an issue, go get security, have them see with their own eyes and let a judgement be made from that. Otherwise, it's all heresay and probably more often then not, an innocent person gets the short end of the stick.
