C.Biscuit97 Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Harbaugh was a bit too hyper but Schwartz looked like a giant douche. IT reminds me a guy with little man's syndrome who has to prove how tough they are.

They're both a couple of jerks. more to the story: Perhaps, instead, we can trace the incident to a dinner in March of 2011 that featured Schwartz, Harbaugh and Ravens coach (and brother of Jim) John Harbaugh. John relates that, at the dinner, Schwartz essentially told Jim if the lockout continued, he would be unable to win as a head coach. This didn't sit well with Jim. "We were having dinner the other night and Jim Schwartz told him basically there’s no way you’re going to be able to get it done (if the lockout lasts into the summer)," John Harbaugh said, per the Santa Clara Press-Democrat. "He told him there’s no way you’re going to be able to accomplish what you need to accomplish in two weeks if this thing lasts a while. "Jim just kind of bit his tongue, which is what you’ve got to do in this situation. Because there’s nothing you can do about it." In other words, it's pretty obvious that Jim drew a big, fat Sharpie-style circle around the October 16 matchup in Detroit. http://eye-on-football.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/22475988/32789791
San Jose Bills Fan Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I heard this 2nd/3rd hand on the radio but apparently Mike Lombardi was talking about their mutual history as Baltimore Ravens assistants. The story includes some details about a father/son basketball tournament at the school where both Schwartz and Harbaugh's sons attended at the time. The anecdote centers around Harbaugh's enormous competitive drive… basically the gist being that Harbaugh was inappropriately competitive. Been looking but can't find a link for the above. Here it is. Apparently the guy I heard on the radio had some of the details mixed up. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d82334756/article/harbaughs-niners-have-division-title-wrapped-up-more-week-6
