papazoid Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 When former Packers linebacker Nick Barnett took a Michael Vick interception back for a touchdown, he pulled the Western New York equivalent of a Lambeau Leap (a.k.a. The Buffalo Bound ). About 10 seconds into his crowd dive, Barnett looked like he wanted to get down and had to swat away the hands of adoring fans. (Watch it at the 0:22 mark of this clip.) http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Video-Bills-crowd-won-8217-t-let-Nick-Barnett-?urn=nfl-wp9052
KollegeStudnet Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 I've seen this before with the Lambeau Leap in GB...when a player has to literally push themselves off of fans who won't let go! I'm wondering if refs can call excessive celebration rule if the player is in the stands too long!?
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 I heard Boomer refer to the jump as the "Ralph Romp" this morning on The Blitz. Thoughts?
PromoTheRobot Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Make mama proud and don't hog the players. PTR
The Senator Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 If you noticed, on Bills next TD Brad SMith eschewed 'the leap' (Perhaps ending the Bills touchdown streak for the day and igniting the Eagles comeback?)
