Fezmid Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 I just had to say that. It never works. That's what I said to a Vikes friend of mine. He countered that the Vikings bit on it in week 1 and lost because of it.
RJ (not THAT RJ) Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Just like the wildcat never leads to TDs anymore.
MRW Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 I was about to say that to my friends as we were watching - but fortunately I didn't because I thought, can't hurt to try.
FreakPop Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 I just had to say that. It never works. I know. I kinda feel bad for the guy who jumped because he will get crucified by the Philly media even though he had no bearing on todays outcome.
Dorkington Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 So glad it did work I was half expecting us to QB dive, if it didn't.
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Yes. It never works. And the Wildcat never leads to touchdowns. Ever. Ever, ever ever. Which means that I must have been absolutely blitzed when watching...and we STILL won.
Mr_Blizzard Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 I just had to say that. It never works. That was awesome. Kudos to Chan and Fitz.
Talley56 Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Not quite sure how to take this, are we that clever or that lucky? Either way, a win's a win.
hatedolphins Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Icing the kicker never works either. Ever. Icung the kicker works best for Joe Gibbs when he tries it twice in a row Thank God the Eagles were extra dumb today- the guy who jumped off sides and when Vick let time expire at the half. That might have mattered down the line
kegtapr Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 I know. I kinda feel bad for the guy who jumped because he will get crucified by the Philly media even though he had no bearing on todays outcome. He didn't? No, we'll never know if the Eagles could have driven for the score and won it in OT, but it did have a bearing on not giving them a chance. If a Bill did that this board would go apeshit on him.
flutie2000 Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 There was also a nice example of it working just two weeks ago in the Falcons vs Bucs game to ice the game.
BringBackFlutie Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 He didn't? No, we'll never know if the Eagles could have driven for the score and won it in OT, but it did have a bearing on not giving them a chance. If a Bill did that this board would go apeshit on him. Absofrickenlutely. What about Stevie dropping that ball and THEN we go 2 more plays and punt against the Steelers last year But it was ALL his fault.
Willyville Guy Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 (edited) Well, right. But in that situation the likelihood went from 0% to 0.01% because the defense was overly geeked to make something happen. I loved the Bills' motion on that play. Just a hilarious way to end the game. Pure enjoyment for this tortured fan. I can't believe it worked. Edited October 9, 2011 by Willyville Guy
Mark Vader Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Not quite sure how to take this, are we that clever or that lucky? Either way, a win's a win. I would say we are both clever & lucky. The football "experts" and players never admit that luck plays a part in the game too.
BuffaloBill Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 I just had to say that. It never works. I was stunned ... But very happy.
DrDawkinstein Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 It NEVER works!! EVER EVER EVER! I couldnt believe it! Go Bills!!!!!!!!!!! Not quite sure how to take this, are we that clever or that lucky? Either way, a win's a win. All good teams are lucky
