San Jose Bills Fan Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 bills fans zre class acts a reflection of their great owner. This thread proves it. I can not thank my brothers on the East Coast enough! I will passionately root for the bills second to my Raiders to make the playoffs I hope these two great and storied franchises can play each other in January. Raiders and Bills forever! The two AFL powerhouses meeting in January for the AFC Championship Game would be a great outcome for this season. Power to the Raiders… Pride and Poise always.
Nuncha Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 If it wasn't for "Cheap" old Ralph, Al might not be the icon he is today... RIP
BMWR100RT Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Tough to see the news. When johnny Carson died years ago, I remember feeling like a constant in my life was gone. Same with Joe Strummer, Joey Ramone, George Harrison, and many others. Al was the type of charactor that makes this world great. In life he did "Just win baby!".
bills44 Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Just Win, Baby. It wasn't pretty, and the game was much closer than it had to be. But in the end, a win is a win.
LewPort71 Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Thanks Raider fan, You guys won a nail-biter also
Raider fan Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Thanks Raider fan, You guys won a nail-biter also A very emotional gritty road win. The definition of Just win Baby. The Raider and Bills resurgence is great for football! I am so proud today and grateful to the Bills great owner, without him there might be no Raiders. I'm getting all teary eyed now.
SelmonSmith6378 Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 As much as I love Al Davis, I am a little upset. People didn;t make this big a deal about the death of Lee Roy Selmon, and he was a far better person than Davis. Hell, he's half my username! I guess I have to do it myself don;t I.
CJPearl2 Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Al was the best. I really enjoyed watching the AFL documentary last year on him. He's was truly one of a kind. Great day for the old AFL teams. Glad we could win one for Al and Ralph today.
Wacka Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I read today that he was interred in a mausoleum in the crypt next to John Lee Hooker, the famous Bluesman
