Bills1218 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Sorry if this has been posted, but PFT is reporting that the Bills are moving slowly on a new contract with Fitz and have stopped discussions with Stevie. I dont buy the "Ralph is cheap" line of thinking, but why is this a distraction when we have $24 million under the cap? http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/10/02/bills-still-facing-contract-challenges-with-fitzpatrick-johnson/

Least likely is "we have really cut off talks"
jester43 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 sorry but you have to assume the worst with ralph and the beancounters until proven otherwise. unless you don't know anything about the bills.
Dorkington Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Stevie will sign with someone else for more money than we are willing to give him. I don't know why people expect different.
It's in My Blood Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Sorry if this has been posted, but PFT is reporting that the Bills are moving slowly on a new contract with Fitz and have stopped discussions with Stevie. We all now that Fitz and Johnson will be resigned. Freddy is one that I worry will be let go (he will hold out his last year if not resigned and rightly so). Freddy is on the wrong side of 30 and we have Spiller, who while still unproven, has a lot of potential and a lot has already been invested in him. I know Fast Freddy doesn't have alot of mileage compared to other backs his age, but it seems to me that the Bills won't be offering up top-tier dollars for him and his age. I could see a 3/yr front loaded deal if anything. I hope we sign all three though.
