We always defer...once Gailey figures out the D by late first half or early second the points start piling up...an extra posession after the half helps with that...

I think the more pertinent question is, if we lose the toss, are we the same?

And what happens if the coin lands on its outer rim?

I would always take the ball in the second half. The big reason is the chance to finish the first half w/ the ball and start the second half w/ the ball. That scenario would have the same effect as a turnover.

On the road its a great opportunity to take the ball at the beginning of the second half because half the crowd is still at the concessions/bathrooms.

Just saying? I think we differ to be honest. Cincy's D will be pumped up.. I say we let them sit a bit and wait for our D-line to beat up on Dalton for a few downs.. :)

Differ away Chan! :)

Tim-

I think we should defer to Trent Dilfer. I don't always agree with him, as a matter of fact we sometimes have differing ideas. So, I say we defer to Dilfer, unless we differ, then out of deference to Chan we can let him decide...

Differ? Are u saying we win the toss and Fitzpatrick gets belligerent with the ref and says "I beg to differ! That was a tail!"

Gailey has deferred the past two weeks, no reason to believe he'll break the trend now. I think its almost always better to defer unless there is bad weather expected in the second half only.
