If we win the toss, do we differ?

Based on how our Offense has performed in the 1st vs 2nd halves so far this year, I'd say it'd be prudent to defer.

We always defer...once Gailey figures out the D by late first half or early second the points start piling up...an extra posession after the half helps with that...

I think the more pertinent question is, if we lose the toss, are we the same?

 

And what happens if the coin lands on its outer rim?

I would always take the ball in the second half. The big reason is the chance to finish the first half w/ the ball and start the second half w/ the ball. That scenario would have the same effect as a turnover.

 

On the road its a great opportunity to take the ball at the beginning of the second half because half the crowd is still at the concessions/bathrooms.

Just saying? I think we differ to be honest. Cincy's D will be pumped up.. I say we let them sit a bit and wait for our D-line to beat up on Dalton for a few downs..

I think we should defer to Trent Dilfer. I don't always agree with him, as a matter of fact we sometimes have differing ideas. So, I say we defer to Dilfer, unless we differ, then out of deference to Chan we can let him decide...

With the way we've fallen behind the last two weeks (outscored 42-13), maybe for once we should try to strike first! Take the ball.

Gailey has deferred the past two weeks, no reason to believe he'll break the trend now. I think its almost always better to defer unless there is bad weather expected in the second half only.
