Jack Straw
Quick question. I've heard George Wilson referred to as "The Senator" in a few places and I believe some Sullivan articles--how/why did he get this nickname, and is it from the players, press, fans, or what? PaattMaann
I always just thought it was b/c he is always trying to say the right thing at the right time?
Rubes
Mostly because he's so well spoken and often gives good, insightful quotes to the media. A fine orator, he is.

Beerball
Mostly because he's so well spoken and often gives good, insightful quotes to the media. A fine orator, he is. The juxtaposition of the Bills 'The Senator' with our very own 'The Senaator' leaves me wondering whether we have the Jr. Senator?
PromoTheRobot
He is also the Bills NFLPA rep. He might actually have some political aspirations after football. PTR
Clip Smith
He is also the Bills NFLPA rep. He might actually have some political aspirations after football. PTR That's the only bad thing about Wilson....maybe too political. Last year when McKelvin got his lawn spraypainted, he took it in stride and said it was probably just some goofy kids getting too reved up. Wilson got to him and the next time he spoke, McKelvin was all about crossing the line of player security...yadda yadda.

MaineMoxie
Let's face it. 'George Wilson' is a somewhat senatorial name (until Obama came along, national politicians have mostly had bland names, with a few exceptions - Millard Fillmore! ). Albany,n.y.
I heard it'd because he's always talking, like a Senator would do during a filibuster.
The Senator
Maybe he's in love with Mike Leach? Bills fans everywhere should hope like hell that The Pirate takes the New Mexico job he's about to be offered, or one of the other two for which it's rumored he soon will be pursued - to replace Howard Schnellenberger at Florida Atlantic or Rick Neuheisel at UCLA. God forbid he should decide to stay in Key West waiting for Tony Sparano to get fired, and the Dolphins end up with both Andrew Luck AND... Mike Leach GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!! .
